"Coup attempt"??? LOLOL... A small, disorganized, unarmed group of protesters occupying ONE BUILDING for a few hours is about as much of a "coup" as slipping on a banana peel is an incident of "mass murder". Libs can be so funny!

You failed to understand that federal taxes would be reduced (by about 70%) under my plan. All taxes are outrageous. If you don't want the social spending in your state, vote against it. No democracy missing.

Yes that would change under my plan.

Racism? No, they single out the elderly.

They are competing to keep or grow population. Who's robbing us? Why federal government of course.

No need to repeat myself. You are trying to imagine these things with the governmental system we have now. They don't fit.

A partisan is a member of a political party despite the level of extreme or middle road opinions. If you do not support a political party then you would be non-partisan like me.

The point about the Depression is that people weren't going to support the Republican notion that social spending should be private charity. Republican support couldn't survive a serious downturn.[/QUOTE]

You are trying to fit my opinions into government the way it is today. My concept would reduce what federal government does (by about 70%) and how much it taxes, leaving room in the peoples' tax bills for the states. I would go even further and have federal government answer to the states rather than the people. The states would answer to the people. A union of states. Interesting concept. We installed it and then corrupted it.

Do us, all of us, the favor of reading this article.......https://www.thebulwark.com/the-six-main-strands-of-the-trump-coup-attempt/

so the ridiculous notion the failed coup was confined to the events of 1/6 can be put to rest. BTW, the Rhodes conviction drives a stake in the heart of the claim the riot was disorganized.

Of course not. No one thought they would. What they did, however, is weaken him. Considering how close he came in 2020, the impeachments may have been the difference.
Compared to Trump, Biden is running a kid's lemonade stand.

"Coup"... LOLOL... again. Occupying ONE BUILDING for a few hours... an unarmed, disorganized group at that. A "coup"... LOLOL...
Reading that article it strikes me that most of it could simply substitute "Russian Collusion" allegations by the left for most of the allegations by the right and it would till be accurate. It seems to be a mirror image of what the left did. There are differences. While the right had "Women for America First" in peaceful protests, rather than ANTIFA and BLM burning cities down from Kenosha to Milwaukee to LaMesa and Baltimore, the similarities are striking. Political supporters on both sides seem to have similar feelings. Just as the right made phone calls trying to influence outcomes, so did the left. But I guess that's what you call freedom.

An impeachment in the House simply identifies enough "meat" to go to court in the Senate. When there is no conviction in the Senate... the hole thing is a NOTHINGBURGER. It showed that rump was strong enough to beat back the yipping little libs that were nipping at his heels like a pack of dogs.
I have no idea what your "lemonade stand" comment is about except that Biden is a child.

the fear I have is that if Trump is indicted, republicans would still vote for him, but many dems may stay home thinking no way he could win again... and then because of that, he wins

Democrats have to get out and vote, cause Republicans will

Sounds INCREDIBLY like left wing efforts surrounding "Trump Russian Collusion" allegations. Well, no cities were burned down as with the libs, but its essentially the same.

"Coup"... LOLOL... a small disorganized, unarmed group of protesters occupies ONE BUILDING for a few hours and its a "coup". LOLOL... talk about mountains out of mole hills!

Republicans tried your approach in 1930 with this result...

    5F9136BD-6E97-4899-81DF-61E20CAEEF6E.jpeg 55EF71C8-7B76-404A-AE39-C6F491E0C11D.jpeg

So, when Mississippi can't afford to cover pensions or healthcare for their old folks, their seniors will move to states like Illinois, New York and California so they can freeload there?
Indigent elderly take up about half of Medicaid for skilled nursing care. Whose going to take care of them?
How are Mississippi and Arkansas going to compete if they lose federal program transfers that help their weak economy? Flyover states get more money from the federal government than they pay in taxes.
Opinion polls show 80% support for the big ticket government programs--Social Security and Medicare. What makes you think people are prepared to live without them? States like California and New York would have oodles of money leftover after they get out of transferring taxes to Flyover America.
The only Democrat I've supported is Biden and that's because Republicans ran a malignant narcissist.

Your approach will make Flyover states poorer. i don't understand why you think it's a good idea.

I PAID for Medicare and Social Security... want to see 55 years of pay stubs reflecting the FICA numbers?
California and New York increase taxes on red states. CA, for example, gets to deduct their 14% state income tax from their federal taxes... raising the federal tax rate on the rest of us.

Mueller said he wasn't going to prosecute for the possible crimes Trump might have committed, so he wasn't really acting as a prosecutor and he also said he would have exonerated Trump if he thought he was innocent.

Mueller never said he found Trump committed a crime...It is that simple...

""wasn't going to prosecute for the possible crimes"" $45 million dollars later and you come up with this??? Really... Prosecutors indict or not. They’re not in the exoneration business.
PSSST.... Trump has been out of office for 1 1/2 year plus... your " "longstanding" Department of Justice policy" has flown the coup a long time now....
NOTICE.... it was some vague "policy" .... it is not a written "rule"... it is not a written "law", but just a policy? Actually an "Opinion" by Randolph Moss

His behavior was cowardly on Jan6 (he deserted his post) and dishonorable on too many occasioins.
Trump may well scuttle DeSantis out of spite. The Orange Oaf is a despicable character.

You don't merit the Presidency because you haven't been convicted of crime.

Dump the Orange Oaf so Americans can debate issues.

You know full well what I'm talking about. Federal transfers to poorer states like Mississippi, West Virginia, Louisiana and Alabama help those states maintain their residents' living standards.
