At current rate it will be Obama and Biden playing a round of golf in Charlotte with a bunch of lobbyists. Everyone else is staying home.

None of which is very likely. I'm sure you would love to see it. I know the feeling I'm giddy myself of the Republican convention either having to change their rules and outrage the Libertarian wing enough to go third party, agree to make Ron Paul Mitt Romney's running mate, or let each individual Ron Paul delegate take the stage to rant, and rave.

    Maybe we'll both get lucky?

I can't wait to watch that convention. I will have my Makers Mark at my side and a box of Kleenex on my other side to wipe the tears of laughter from my cheeks.

So, why is the right here been so shrill for the past couple days? Because it's been an especially bad week for them.

    1. ACA ruling. Catastrophe for the right. They were told complete victory is right around the corner, but they ended up doing another face plant into a cow patty.

    2. Fast and furious phony-scandal collapses. And they were so sure it would take down Obama, by golly! Nope. Yet another face plant.

    3. Romney continues his poll plunge, to the extent that even the GOP shills at Gallup and Rasmussen can no longer pretend he's ahead.

It's been the worst week ever for them. Plus the blazing heat over most of the USA isn't helping, because it's making the global warming denialists -- that is, the GOP -- look really stupid. Not that one heat wave means anything, but the mushy middle doesn't see it that way. They only remember the latest, and the latest is a blazing summer following a winter that didn't happen. I'm even hearing diehard Republicans say that Al Gore must have been right.

It's 106 degrees in bloody Tennessee and the coldest it got was the forties a couple nights in the winter.

    I'm a believer :p

SCOTUS rules obama's mandate unconstitutional under the Commerce Clause.. Says it must be a tax under the Congress power to tax. So obamacare becomes a massive bait & switch TAX INCREASE ON THE MIDDLE CLASS, by the lying b.o.
Holder is found in criminal and civil Contempt of Congress by a BI-PARTISAN vote. Do you avoid the news?

Romney is not losing poll numbers and his campaign takes in $5 million unsolicited in the day the SCOTUS finds obamacare to be just a huge tax that will not cover the poor. We will be able to look back on this last couple of weeks and know that this is when b.o. lost any chance of reelection.

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. Roberts decided it was a tax. It doesn't make Obama a liar.

Do you have an exact vote tally? Because what I saw had it almost exclusively Republican.

    More speculation without fact.

Anybody think the Dems will public celebrate the biggest tax increase in history (ObamaCare) at their convention?

My assessment of the GOP convention?

A laser-like focus on getting Romney and GOP Senate and House candidates elected to repeal the biggest tax increase in history - ObamaCare.

Ron Paul & Newt and others will make speeches, but the repeal of the biggest tax increase in history will unite the GOP.

Depends on whether or not anyone shows up. They've already changed the venue due to costs and a complete lack of interest. The DNC may end up with 2 rooms at Motel 6. No Democrat wants their name attached to b.o. He's become a pariah in his own Party. Democrats seeking reelection fully understand the depth of b.o.'s failure.

Has the dog-eater/tax-raiser become more radioactive than cobalt-60?

NOT looking too good for the Obama team.

Multiple stumbles on the Democrats's road to Charlotte, N.C. convention

By Cameron Joseph - 06/27/12 08:55 PM ET

Organizers of the Democratic National Convention have faced a series of setbacks in what was supposed to be a seamless celebration of President Obama’s renomination.
Officials are dealing with financial problems thanks to a ban on corporate donations, and several Democrats in tough races have decided to skip the September gathering in Charlotte, N.C., altogether. Plus, some unions are unhappy the convention is being held in a “right to work” state, and the host committee recently had to cancel an event at the Charlotte Motor Speedway designed to launch the gathering.

I hope the Dems do indeed trumpet the biggest tax increase in history as their major acheivement.

Then we'll see what the voters think.

Get a new talking point. You've used "biggest tax increase in history" five times in three posts, and all three posts were short.

    Hm. Interesting.

By the way - walking out is a Democrat strategy? Are we forgetting the time Boehner led Republicans in a walk out?

Better get used to: "...the biggest tax increase in history..."

Its true and sticks like Super Glue.

    Nothing else matters.

I can't wait til the Indiana Tea Party torches Joe Donnelley with that one.

Ah, now the liberal mantra of, "He's in denial," can be brought out. The 4,000 new IRS agents are just in the bill to hand money back to people waiting for Obama Bucks.

Oh, look. A chance to prove it is "the biggest tax increase in history" and all you do is belittle me.

    I am so not surprised.
