yes, my post was meant to be sarcastic - however, there was a fairly large far-right movement in France before WW2, and undercurrents within the ruling class - some of those would most certainly have sided with Hitler - Vichy regime for instance, some of those guys

Unfortunately they didn't know that Hitler is a lot like the Joker, he'll turn on you if you make a deal with him. He wasn't an honorable kind of guy.

I don't mean that in the way he was genocidal, but he did lie a lot to people. He would often make promises then break them.

 

The French government begged for no such thing try some accurate history for a change.

Not sure what countries you are talking about in regards to socialised medicine, but the overwhelming majority of UK citizens want the NHS to remain, very few calling for privatised medicine
