Sounds like you need to do some research. Long before the ball earth model, people was able to predict eclipses using a flat earth. They held ceremonies/rituals, sacrifices, and so much more. By using the heavenly bodies, and being able to predict their movements, most civilizations was able to be born from using them. People would be in awwh, once the sun went black and they was told it would at a specific time and day. So these people held empire leaders as all knowing (maybe even Godly-like), and followed them. Creating a nation/empire using the heavenly bodies. Guess what, this is still done to this day.

    :roflol:

Yeah this is funny, the work of your fellow American tax payer.

And this is not funny, the work of your government. With copy and pasted clouds, no real time image (video feed), and water forming to the exterior of a ball.

    https://www.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/1-bluemarble_west.jpg

I guess all you need is an image, and it's PROOF!! Regardless of the source.

A flat earth is ridiculous, we would fall off the edge. What if we said it was a ball, and everything was able to go upside down, all while spinning at over 1,000 mph? Well hey, now your getting somewhere, now your thinking.:roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol:

Where is the edge? There has to be one. If it exists, then you should be able to get a photograph of it, or go to the other side off into nothingness.

What are you talking about. You never got a photograph of earth in it's entirety, though you believe those who give you such an image. Of course you believe them, they taught it to you when you was learning your abc's and 123's.

Your entire thought of "space" is literally all in your imagination (as intended). To claim otherwise is an outright lie. For you have seen none of it. It only exists in your head. And even that doesn't raise a red flag for you and most others. I had the same thought process, until I was shown evidence unto the contrary, I was imagining similar "space thoughts". The only difference between myself and most, is I have an open mind, and feel as if whatever one has to say knowledge can be gained, weather the statement is true or false. You probably don't even understand how knowledge can be gained, even from a false statement.

So there is an edge, but we can't get close enough to photograph it? The edge would have to be land that is higher than sea level or all of our water would spill! Since its land, someone can go there and take some video.

Water does form a ball. Notice no educated scientists trying to pass flat earth off as science. Only kooks!

"Science" is a process....not a <Mod Edit- circumventing profanity filter> person or title. Everybody with a heartbeat (alive), is a scientist. You have been brainwashed into believing those with the white cloaks, or titles are the only people with truth. And you prove it right here. Thanks for showing that.

    Job 38-25 KJB
    Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;

Perhaps you should read the entire chapter. Luckily for you it's a very short chapter (one page). Yet there is a lot to be said (God can do that by using minimal words) from "God" to us about our world. Job 38 King James Bible
It cannot hurt for you to have understanding within the mindset of others. You may not agree with the Bible, but knowledge comes from all areas, including ones we don't agree with.

Thanks for showing your intelligence. Your argument is very precise and encouraging. I think you should restrain from such web sites (forums), for your wisdom is far beyond the public mindset.

Still showing a lack of comprehension I see.

You do not grasp what science is it is more than a process and you are wrong not everyone with a pulse is a scientist.

The FACT is you are not engaging in any scientific process. Science does demand you ask questions but it also demands you accept evidence you fail horribly at the last part.

You willfully ignore and willfully lie about the evidence which has proven you wrong.

That is not scientific or christian

No one who accepts the bible as anything other than the word of man, is in a position to call others brainwashed.

Of course, if you believe that we were sinners thousands of years before we were born because a talking snake convinced a naked lady to eat an apple, the flat earth thing isn't so far fetched.

So sad. That is what you will have. Hopefully you have the luxury of seeing your deathbed, and your life is not cut short before hand. At least then when you "KNOW" death is near, you have time to repent. I pray that someday....you will see.

The one under here is the Gleasons map. Make sure you click on it and then click on the map once the page is open, this way you can zoom in on the map. Notice it says, "scientifically and practically correct as it is." And also notice the triangle at the top of the map. Notice the triangle/pyramid, with the light at the top of the triangle/pyramid (all seeing eye). The distance of the sun is measured in this manner, which is why the sun is at the top of the triangle/pyramid. Now look at your currency, tell me if what you see is a match?

"Fortunately, some are born with spiritual immune systems that sooner or later give rejections to the illusory worldview grafted upon them from birth through social conditioning. They begin sensing that something is amiss, and start looking for answers. Inner knowledge and anomalous outer experiences show them a side of reality others are oblivious to, and so begins their journey of awakening. Each step of the journey is made by following the heart instead of following the crowd and by choosing knowledge over the veils of ignorance."

    -Henri Bergson

You my friend, follow the crowd.

Fear of the unknown is why many grown men still believe in a god. Of course, I would burn for an eternity for not accepting a zombie Jew as my savior, but a murderer would live in paradise for repenting a few minutes before death. Brilliant!

Ah! Just look at this fine example of Christianity! You even know how to use () () so that your name calling doesn't get covered by ******. You are the maker and master of your own level of character.

Look here man!!!! You have no problem thinking water sticks to the exterior of a ball. What is your problem with a flat earth, and why must you insist there is an edge that we would fall off? I'll tell you why, because you have been told to mock and ridicule any notion to a "flat earth". You was told there would have to be an edge we would fall off. Yet you believe something that has never been proven, (water sticking to the exterior of a ball), humans, boats, trains, planes, etc all are able to be upside down to those on the other side of the earth. All this you have no problem with, but water upon a flat surface such as what is observed and known among all, that you have a problem with. WOW, it is very obvious somebody else is controlling your mind, for you can't or won't even bother to look into the argument coming from a disagreeing point of view. Your theory is simply to mock and ridicule anybody who questions what we have been taught. Glad you think that's wise.

:roflol:1892 illustrations? Are flat earth nuts too stupid to go to the edge and put a GoPro on a weather balloon? "I would like to submit this napkin with a flat earth drawn in crayon and evidence." :roflol:

Flat earthers have done more research as to the shape of the earth than you ever thought of. You was simply told what it was, and you accepted it. As you accept to this day, whatever higher authority tells you is truth. Your weak minded, closed minded, with behavior of that of a 5 yr old. And you have no problem letting it show as you did right here.

I was open minded enough to open your links and only saw illustrations. If there is research and evidence, why do you only post drawings?

Again, please show me a picture of the edge. Until you can, just shut up about this ridiculious theory. If the earth is flat, what are it's boundaries? That is what I mean by the edge.

Or you can just quit responding to my posts. Simple huh. "KIDS".

Why do you people always say there is no evidence. There is so much evidence that even to this day, man has thought the earth to be flat and stationary, much longer than a sphere. The reason, all the overwhelming evidence.

If records went back that far, they would show that even though certain empires/nations/civilizations didn't know of one another. Their conclusions as to astronomy and the shape of the earth was mutual. A flat stationary earth with the heavenly bodies above moving over us. The first beast Rome enemy of Jesus, and the first empire to damn near take over the whole earth (the closest to it). Is actually the true origin of the Heliocentric model. While Capernicus was not born in Rome, his education was Italy Rome. From those who worshiped sun gods, to the development of the Heliocentric model. Now have the entire world worshiping the same ancient sun god Helios. Which is why it is called the "helio"centric model.

All of the planets, except for Earth, were named after Greek and Roman gods and godesses. Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Venus and Mercury were given their names thousands of years ago. The other planets were not discovered until much later, after telescopes were invented. The tradition of naming the planets after Greek and Roman gods and goddesses was carried on for the other planets discovered as well. Mercury was named after the Roman god of travel. Venus was named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty. Mars was the Roman god of War. Jupiter was the king of the Roman gods, and Saturn was the Roman god of agriculture. Uranus was named after an ancient Greek king of the gods. Neptune was the Roman god of the Sea. Pluto, which is now classified as a dwarf planet, was the Roman god of the underworld. The name Earth is an English/German name which simply means the ground.

Jupiter, also known as Jove (Latin: Iūpiter [ˈjuːpɪtɛr] or Iuppiter [ˈjʊppɪtɛr],[1] gen. Iovis [ˈjɔwɪs]), is the god of the sky and thunder and king of the gods in Ancient Roman religion and mythology. Jupiter was the chief deity of Roman state religion throughout the Republican and Imperial eras, until Christianity became the dominant religion of the Empire. In Roman mythology, he negotiates with Numa Pompilius, the second king of Rome, to establish principles of Roman religion such as offering, or sacrifice.

Mercury (/ˈmɜːrkjᵿri/; Latin: Mercurius [mɛrˈkʊ.ri.ʊs] [IMG] listen (help·info)) is a major Roman god, being one of the Dii Consentes within the ancient Roman pantheon. He is the patron god of financial gain, commerce, eloquence (and thus poetry), messages/communication (including divination), travelers, boundaries, luck, trickery and thieves; he is also the guide of souls to the underworld.[1][2] He was considered the son of Maia and Jupiter in Roman mythology. His name is possibly related to the Latin word merx ("merchandise"; cf. merchant, commerce, etc.), mercari (to trade), and merces (wages); another possible connection is the Proto-Indo-European root merĝ- for "boundary, border" (cf. Old English "mearc", Old Norse "mark" and Latin "margō") and Greek οὖρος (by analogy of Arctūrus/Ἀρκτοῦρος), as the "keeper of boundaries," referring to his role as bridge between the upper and lower worlds.[citation needed] In his earliest forms, he appears to have been related to the Etruscan deity Turms; both gods share characteristics with the Greek god Hermes. He is often depicted holding the caduceus in his left hand. Similar to his Greek equivalent (Hermes) he was awarded the caduceus by Apollo who handed him a magic wand, which later turned into the caduceus.

Saturn (Latin: Saturnus pronounced [saˈtʊr.nʊs]) is a god in ancient Roman religion, and a character in myth. Saturn is a complex figure because of his multiple associations and long history. He was the first god of the Capitol, known since the most ancient times as Saturnius Mons, and was seen as a god of generation, dissolution, plenty, wealth, agriculture, periodic renewal and liberation. In later developments, he also came to be a god of time. His reign was depicted as a Golden Age of plenty and peace. The Temple of Saturn in the Roman Forum housed the state treasury. In December, he was celebrated at what is perhaps the most famous of the Roman festivals, the Saturnalia, a time of feasting, role reversals, free speech, gift-giving and revelry. Saturn the planet and Saturday are both named after the god.

Venus (/ˈviːnəs/, Classical Latin: /ˈwɛnʊs/) is the Roman goddess whose functions encompassed love, beauty, desire, sex, fertility, prosperity and victory. In Roman mythology, she was the mother of the Roman people through her son, Aeneas, who survived the fall of Troy and fled to Italy. Julius Caesar claimed her as his ancestor. Venus was central to many religious festivals, and was revered in Roman religion under numerous cult titles.

The Romans adapted the myths and iconography of her Greek counterpart Aphrodite for Roman art and Latin literature. In the later classical tradition of the West, Venus becomes one of the most widely referenced deities of Greco-Roman mythology as the embodiment of love and sexuality.

Neptune (Latin: Neptūnus [nɛpˈtuːnʊs]) was the god of freshwater and the sea[1] in Roman religion. He is the counterpart of the Greek god Poseidon.[2] In the Greek-influenced tradition, Neptune was the brother of Jupiter and Pluto; the brothers presided over the realms of Heaven, the earthly world, and the Underworld.[3] Salacia was his wife.

Depictions of Neptune in Roman mosaics, especially those of North Africa, are influenced by Hellenistic conventions.[4] Neptune was likely associated with fresh water springs before the sea.[5] Like Poseidon, Neptune was worshipped by the Romans also as a god of horses, under the name Neptunus Equester, a patron of horse-racing.[6]

Neptune is the creator of horses and is the god of the sea as well as the owner of a powerful weapon, the Trident. Poseidon is the greek Neptune and is one of the big three gods Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. He accidentally created horses when he had an affair with Medusa, and also created a boy who roams the seas as a pirate past the pillar of Hercules.

Uranus (/ˈjʊərənəs/ or /jʊˈreɪnəs/; Ancient Greek Οὐρανός, Ouranos [oːranós] meaning "sky" or "heaven") was the primal Greek god personifying the sky. His name in Roman mythology was Caelus.[2] In Ancient Greek literature, Uranus or Father Sky was the son and husband of Gaia, Mother Earth. According to Hesiod's Theogony, Uranus was conceived by Gaia alone, but other sources cite Aether as his father.[3] Uranus and Gaia were the parents of the first generation of Titans, and the ancestors of most of the Greek gods, but no cult addressed directly to Uranus survived into Classical times,[4] and Uranus does not appear among the usual themes of Greek painted pottery. Elemental Earth, Sky and Styx might be joined, however, in a solemn invocation in Homeric epic.

    Mars-
In ancient Roman religion and myth, Mars (Latin: Mārs, [maːrs]) was the god of war and also an agricultural guardian, a combination characteristic of early Rome.[2] He was second in importance only to Jupiter and he was the most prominent of the military gods in the religion of the Roman army. Most of his festivals were held in March, the month named for him (Latin Martius), and in October, which began the season for military campaigning and ended the season for farming.
