I've never seen the Ellen Show. I knew it was on but I have no interest in those kinds of shows, not that I'm exactly sure what kind of show it is. From what I've read recently it's a talk show (that much I knew) and they have celebrities on (that much I guessed). But from from what I gather there's also some kind of 'real people' on that Ellen gives gifts to, which evidently come from sponsors and not her. I remember the first time I saw Ellen DeGeneres. It was her first appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. She was quite funny and totally inoffensive. I had already given up sitcoms by then so I didn't watch hers, and the only thing that I knew about it was that it became known for pushing a gay agenda. Now, I don't care if she's gay (Jodie Foster is one of my all-time favorites) but I really don't need Ellen or any other celebrity preaching to me. Supposedly, Ellen was one of the nicest people in show business, or so someone claimed. Then she was pictured with George W. Bush, and things began to change. Her reputation has gone from nice to ogre, and she is now on the verge of being forced off TV. I don't know if she ever was nice, used to be nice, or never was nice. But I can't ignore that her star began to fall when she was shown with GW Bush. Now maybe she was a bitch the whole time but everyone in Hollywood kept their mouths shut because she was a good liberal. So today I see that someone named James Corden is "in line" to replace Ellen (link on Drudge). Up until 5 minutes before I started this thread I had never hear the name James Corden. So I looked him up. He's the British host of the NBC late night show that's on sometime after the Tonight Show. So on a hunch, I Googled "James Corden" and "liberal". The first thing that popped up (you can try it too) was the quote, "All the people I like and respect don't like Trump." It sounds to me like the job is his.
So, do you think the allegations about the workplace problems is just a cover story to oust her from daytime tv?
There's been rumors about Ellen being a cold-hearted b*tch to her subordinates for a very long time now - Cancel Culture has just brought it out into the open. Well, there's other issues too, but ...
No, I think it existed for many years but she was protected by her fellow liberals until she broke ranks with them.
That's a good theory. I would like to see many more celebrities called out on their questionable behavior, especially those things that put their staff in jeopardy. Nobody should have to endure a toxic workplace or risk losing their job for speaking up.
