So all the headlines one can see if you google your thread title are wrong.

All the talking heads with the left's MSM partners are wrong. The leaders in the Democratic Party making this claim are wrong.

Shall I go on? This type of hyperbole and propaganda is shameful.

People deserve better, and it doesn't look like the left has a grip on that principle.

Just dog whistles and click bait. Really sad.

Seriously guy, if that's your best argument, that this bill is not the largest tax increase in US history because you think it should be compared to the creation of the income tax, you've lost the argument.

This bill is the largest tax increase in US history, by far.

The entire country is doomed to repeat the same mistake experienced and put on full display by Kansas five years ago.

Seriously, if you think this bill represents the largest tax increase in US History, by far, you never had an argument to start with.

In 1944-45, the highest bracket paid taxes at a 94% rate. That rate was kept in place into the 60's. In 1914 it was 7%. How would you define that increase?

You are welcome to attempt to promote this lie, but it will always be viewed as such.

Now you want to counter by comparing the tax rate from 1914 and 1945? Did you have a single law which resulted in that increase or did you actually think 30 years of legislation is enough reason to dispute this "largest tax increase in US history" claim?

And let me go ahead and point out to you that this claim also revolves around the amount of money involved. This bill results in nearly 6 trillion in tax increase, so countering by pointing out percentiles doesn't get you to a proper counter.

So now you counter by clinging to dollars? Do you want to adjust for population and real dollars?

This meme the left is pushing is a lie. If you want to cover your eyes from the facts, that is for you to decide. Expect the attempt to continue to be viewed abd responded to accordingly.

    Awesome, you love high taxes.
When their rates reach the level of the highest brackets, get back to me. Until then stop whining and enjoy!

    No it wasn't.

Read up on tax history in the United States. Review the various Revenue Acts from the 20's-50's.

IF they were to expire in ten years they would knly come back to current rates. So it is completely fallacious to say THIS bill raises taxes in ten years. There is nithjng in the bill that says taxes will go up in ten years. And of course the rates can been extended at that time. Or a whole new bill can be passed at any time in between. So you urging enough Democrats to vote for it so there is no need for the sunset provision? Are yiu going to vote for Republicans so that there are enough of them to vote for bills jot subject to the provision?

Except that I WONT be getting 5 dollars.

From the best I can figure out, under this tax plan, my taxes are going to go up by about 3000 bucks a year.

My Mother, who already tries to live on a meager income of around 20k a year, will see HER taxes go up by almost 2k. So, no. not everyone is going to be getting money back in this plan.

In fact. MOST people will see a TAX INCREASE.

Why will your taxes go up $3000 based on what gross income and why will your mother be paying over 10% on a $20,000 gross income? With a $12,000 standard deduction only $8000 of her income would even be subject to the 10% tax rate down from $14,000.

To get taxcuts we needed some Democrat votes and they all refused. What we really need is to cut the cost of the Federal Government and use that for a taxcut, but neither party supports that.

They need to hear from ALL of us in the next election!

Fake news. Even as a single tax payer (highest rate) with no exemptions and no itemized deductions with the standard deduction her taxable income would be about 8000. At 10%, that's 800 tax.

I think that's Trump's plan for Step 2. And it won't come from SSI or Medicare either. That's a dirty lie thrown out there by Democrats and RINOs.

Yes, it is, ocean. Read up on your history. This is the largest and will hurt the middle class terribly, which is what the businesses want.

You are fallacious, Bluesguy, to say that this bill does not raise taxes.

The bill says the cuts will expire, yet the business cuts are permanent.
