Funny how an abusive alcoholic of a father who beat my ass until I was of an age where I could hurt a man who still repped 275 on the bench at 54 never messed with my mind.

As far as my childhood is concerned, a good day was my father just telling me I'd end up on a freeway offramp selling oranges. If you're unfamiliar with that reference, he was telling me I'd be just a tiny step above a panhandler.

funny how some Military personal suffer from PTSD and others do not, not all of us respond the same - we can not put down the ones that do have PTSD cause others did not get it, some children get PTSD from the abuse you went through too, if you did not, you were lucky

you said "Beyond the circumstances of my birth, luck had **** all to do with it. I was raised in a family with values. My entire *******n life all I've ever known is work and austerity."

you said "you see my father had values-like my mother never having to work and providing for my disabled little brother"

but you were raised by an alcoholic who beat your.....? I am confused?

sounds like your one of the ones that actually grew stronger from the struggle, not everyone is so lucky

true, most would of done better with their life then Dirty Donald has done with his, what a waste he made of his lottery of birth

course maybe Trump was not raised in a good way too, we will probably never know, I think his brother that died suffered from alcohol abuse didn't he? wonder what drove him to drink?

Considering the incredibly level of productivity in the United States, how can a person possibly not produce a surplus?

Adversity makes the man is among the family mottos, and one need not be perfect to have values. After all, most criminals at least have the common decency to not steal from each other.

And to be clear, my dad hit me.

I went through a violent phase when I was younger, but than I discovered work and business.
