Its stupid imo. Very few people were as bad, or worse than Hitler throughout the entirety of history. But his is the most recognizable. And its amazing how little people know of history. So I can see why people use the comparison. But its still stupid because no politician in the US today is that horrible. Not even close. In fact NO politician in our entire history was that bad.

 

Actually what @Libhater said is correct. "NAZI" is an abbreviation of "NAtional soZIalistische deutsche arbeiter partei" or "National Socialist German Workers Party". You can use google translate yourself if you don't believe me. Google is your friend. Read up before trying to make snide remarks.

Actually communism and socialism are two sides of the same coin. Both are about controlling the means of production. Both are about equity. The differences only lies in the how of doing those things.

Why do you think that socialism and communism often ends up being a dictatorship? Current day Cuba started out as a socialist movement. Same with Venezuela. Same with NAZI's. Could you provide actions or policies coming from right wingers (Repubs/Conserves) that shows or proves that they're out to control, deny or erase any of the freedoms we as Americans enjoy as that of being our Constitutional rights in a true Fascist manner? Do these right wingers support the mandating of their children to mask up or the mandating of businesses with over 100 employees to vaccinate or get fired without getting any benefits whatsoever? Or is it right wingers who are the fascists getting stymied of their 1st Amendment rights to voice their opinions at school meetings while being harassed and subdued by the FBI? Which Party here do you suppose is acting out their Fascist agenda?

I can fully agree with you on one point relating specifically to WW 2: "And its amazing how little people know of history."

Just about everything that most people know about WW 2, Hitler and Germany's National Socialists they learned from Hollywood's busy WW 2 propagandists.
For example, it was Hollywood's Billy Wilder who revealed that the evil Germans made lampshades and pocketbooks out of human skin and occasionally shrank the heads of their Jewish victims.

Unfortunately, these stories like about 90% of everything else that everybody "knows" about the European theater of WW 2 is based on similar Hollywood - Holocaust Industry propaganda.

I'm afraid that I must disagree with your contention that: "In fact NO politician in our entire history was that bad."

Eisenhower, whose hatred of the German people is legendary(1) is directly responsible for the deliberate deaths of hundreds of thousands German POWs and civilians by intentionally starving them to death.(2)

On the other hand, after relentless searching of tons of captured German documents not a single order from Hitler for the killing of Jews or anyone else has been found.

Finally, I am not trying to minimize the crimes committed by Germany's National Socialists under Hitler's leadership but, rather, to look at the crimes and atrocities of all of WW 2's participants as objectively as possible.
