There is zero chance that atheism has anything to do with what is screwing up the ME.

You'll have to explain your other proposed cause of evil.

Throughout Obama's presidency Republicans were irate that Obama wasn't giving more powerful weapons. At times Republican congressmen wanted direct participation. At times they just wanted to give more powerful weapons to individual groups - something Obama resisted, as these groups tended to give weapons to other groups with whom they collaberated in a changing web of various objectives.

Smoke and mirrors - a show for your entertainment pleasure. While the debate about arming the rebel Jihadist proxy army was going on in public - the CIA was working overtime to arm, support and supply our proxy army all kinds of powerful weapons.

I am surprised you were not aware of this. You also indirectly refer to the "moderate rebel lie" - as if this had some basis in fact.

That is a great deflection. According to the Bible and to the Talmud, Gentiles will end up being slaves to the Jews. The Talmud promises each Jew 2,800 Gentile slaves in the afterlife. So yes, maybe all monotheists who obey the Seven Laws of Noah have a share in the Next World but it will be as slaves.

There were several groups in Syria fighting for various objectives. Some were jihadists. Some were purely revolutionary.

The problem was that they had various immediate objectives which would change And, when change happened, they would form new temporary alliances. Thus our arms could find their way to groups we didn't want to arm.

So, one COULD find our arms in the hands of jihadists, but that is NOT evidence that it was an objective of ours.

The "Obama aided the terrorists" thing is just more pure partisan garbage that Republicans spew in the course of their miserable little lives.

It is true that there were many groups. In very beginning the was a small number of what one could claim was "moderate" - don't know if these groups did any of the front line fighting - but it matters not. Six months into the war and the moderates had disappeared - and we knew it.

The global effort to arm, support and supply the radical Islamist proxy army went on long after we knew the monster we were feeding.

You mean less devout Muslims. The liberal elements that exist in certain Muslim societies aren't necessarily outgrowths of any accepted strains of Islam, but in fact represent a relaxation of Islamic principles. Cultural differences, in other words, depend on just how Islamic the societies in question are.

    We disagree.

Just as you want to force your political views on others through physical violence - LAW - there is no difference. What motivates someone to vote a certain way is none of your business. You can find Christians on both sides of many public policy issues.

Been through this with you previously. There is a difference between authority of Gov't coming from "we the people" and that authority coming from God.

The point of giving Gov't power - is for punishment of violation of certain codes - by definition.

Under Theocracy - authority of Gov't comes from God - few limits on what Gov't make illegal - only needs support from Clergy.

Under Secularism - authority of Gov't comes from we the people. Limits on Gov't power are codified in the Declaration and the Constitution.

In both cases one agrees to allow Gov't to use physical violence to enforce the law. The difference is in the legal justification.

That's a distinction without a difference. How do you propose to enforce than novel idea? It is idiotic to say a Christian voting their conscience is for a theocracy, like Iran is. The Founders assumed our rights were from God, and then loaned to politicians.

Simply not true - I always distinguish between extremist and non extremist elements within Christianity - and do not judge good Christians by the evil religious right.

Of course there is a difference between Secular and Theocratic justification for law ... are you kidding me ?

The Founders used the word "Creator" which 1) so as not to be confused with the Christian God and

    2) - where your main confusion lies - The Founders did not invoke the creator to justify law or give authority to Gov't - they invoked the Creator to Limit Gov't authority and power to make law.

Let me guess, a good Christian is a liberal one? What exactly is evil about the religious right? Only the religious left is good I suppose.

Nonsense, when the Founders said Creator or religion, they meant Christianity, and even wanted to foster it insofar as it didn't violate the conscience of others. This is why the oath of office was/is taken on a Christian Bible, in almost all cases.

A good Christian is one who follows the teachings of Christ. The religious right violates these teachings - and you are desperately trying to apologize for this bad behavior. .

You have no clue what you are talking about.

The idea that the founders wanted authority of Gov't to come from "God" - never mind the God of Christianity - is beyond falsehood. The exact reverse is true.

Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch toward uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one-half the world fools and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the earth.
-- Thomas Jefferson, Notes on the State of Virginia, 1781-82

Thirteen governments [of the original states] thus founded on the natural authority of the people alone, without a pretence of miracle or mystery, and which are destined to spread over the northern part of that whole quarter of the globe, are a great point gained in favor of the rights of mankind.
-- John Adams, "A Defence of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America" (1787-88 ) , from Adrienne Koch, ed, The American Enlightenment: The Shaping of the American Experiment and a Free Society (1965) p. 258

As I understand the Christian religion, it was, and is, a revelation. But how has it happened that millions of fables, tales, legends, have been blended with both Jewish and Christian revelation that have made them the most bloody religion that ever existed?-- John Adams, letter to FA Van der Kamp, December 27, 1816

When philosophic reason is clear and certain by intuition or necessary induction, no subsequent revelation supported by prophecies or miracles can supersede it.-- John Adams, from Rufus K Noyes, Views of Religion, quoted from from James A Haught, ed, 2000 Years of Disbelief

The funny thing is that the dummies obviously never read the Bible because if they had they would have seen that the Jesus character said that people should never, ever, swear oaths.

Matthew 5: 33-37 (ERV) = 33 “You have heard that it was said to our people long ago, ‘When you make a vow, you must not break your promise. Keep the vows that you make to the Lord.’ 34 But I tell you, when you make a promise, don’t try to make it stronger with a vow. Don’t make a vow using the name of heaven, because heaven is God’s throne.35 Don’t make a vow using the name of the earth, because the earth belongs to him. Don’t make a vow using the name of Jerusalem, because it also belongs to him, the great King. 36 And don’t even say that your own head is proof that you will keep your promise. You cannot make one hair on your head white or black. 37 Say only ‘yes’ if you mean ‘yes,’ and say only ‘no’ if you mean ‘no.’ If you say more than that, it is from the Evil One.

Muslims did ALL the front line fighting in Syria.

And, I need some verification before I believe your last. For one thing, our objective included pushing back against the Syrian government. And, pretty much every group in the region where we worked were in favor of that objective. And, the loyalty of any of the groups fighting was reasonably situational.

That's the view of those interested in an Islamic state, too.

Our direction is better BECAUSE it is seperate from religion. Look at European history for another example. The division of religion from government was one of the major improvements.

Indeed the folks doing the fighting on side of the radical Islamist opposition were Muslim. Mostly on the Assad Side as well although Assad has Christian Generals in his army.

The stated objective was to push back against the Assad regime - and it is true that the rebels were in favor of that objective as they wanted to - and did for a number of years - turn Syria into a Strict Sharia Totalitarian nightmare.

Now to verification - That the rebels were armed to the teeth with sophisticated military technology is well established. How else are you going to fight a 5-6 year proxy war against a nation state ? This included tanks howitzers, rockets, and a host of other equipment. A whole lot of equipment left over from the war in Yugoslavia was shipped into Syria - something that could not have been accomplished without outside assistance. Then we have things like US made TOW missiles and Manpads (shoulder launched surface to air missiles perfect for taking out civilian airliners)

    https://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/how-america-armed-terrorists-in-syria/

There are numerous other sources - like from congress.
    https://gabbard.house.gov/news/StopArmingTerrorists

This was a global coalition which included upwards of 20 nations. Saudi Arabia - and other gulf states - Turkey, Qatar, Jordan, Israel. The US the British and other Euro nations. Numerous nations in Eastern Europe - Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria.

I believe this is what you are looking for - if you want verification of the moderate rebel lie - we can do that too.

Then Jesus ordered the murder of children, ordered the murder of homosexuals, ordered the murder of blasphemers, ordered the murder of apostates, and outlawed freedom of religion. Can't have it both ways. If Jesus IS the God of the OT, then he's at least as bad as Mohammed, if not far worse.

According to the biblical fairy tale, when Jesus returns he will be a very mean theocratic dictator. He will go on to create all kinds of environmental damage, kill all life forms, and destroy the planet. He is a super villain.

Look up the New Covenant, New Testament basically means that. It was predicted in the OT, and explained well in Galatians.

Israel had a right to defend herself, just as we did at Hiroshima.
