Nope but a few key congested leftist sates doesn't speak for an entire nation either, and that is precisely why we have a electoral system so that as a Nation, we all have a fair voice!

You need to battle this exclusionary mentality you have been subjected to and think inclusionary! Think back when the your whole family wanted to go to the beach, but the big guy with all the money, car and drivers license wanted to go fishing at the lake!

    Sound fair to you :)

how did i know you wouldn't be able to show me hillary's court records?

the answer is: she hasn't ever had to defend herself in court

trump can't say that, he's been court over and over

WOW, I learned it in 1952 in high school.

I do not care that Hillary got more overall votes. That is not what matters. If it mattered, she would today be the president. And what makes me pleased is she is not the president.

Go back into election history of the USA. She is not the first to get more overall votes and still lose. And she is not the last. What makes me pleased it the last two times one did that and lost the election was her and Gore.

Bet you love that lesson of history.

I am guessing you are about the same age as my oldest son.

Frankly, none of us on the Republican side care a bit that Hillary got more overall votes. The alleged popular vote. That is a topic for the media and losing Democrats. We focus on the reason why Trump won. And he won far more states than Hillary won. That is the way the election system actually works. Trump took the state popular election and that is all that matters. We let Democrats yap about how it does not work.

I beg to differ, you may have indeed, heard of it in high school, but I seriously question that you learned about it's purpose! Sorry bro, from your post you clearly don't understand how and why it works like it does, you're exclusionary :(

this isn't a contest for who knew first, the point is that you were wrong

i know how our elections work; stop pretending your deceptions have any validity

borat can't rightly talk about the "will of voters" and not be shown the tally

    upload_2017-7-21_12-33-56.png

    trump got 46.1% versus hillary's 48.2%, a popular majority

regarding your assertion: "she must be president"

who doesn't know trump is president?

Don't worry. As you often pointed out, there is no possible chance Donald Trump could ever become president.

    Some points.

    (1) The "will of the voters" is determined by a state by state (and in the case of Maine and Nebraska, by Congressional District) counting of the votes cast. If you prefer a different method of determining the will of the voters, you should work to change the mechanism we use. Otherwise, you're wasting your complaints, 'cuz them's the rules.
    (2) Trump didn't abuse the system. Trump learned about the rules of the system, played by those rules, and won. Hillary didn't play by the rules of the system, lost, and now her supporters complain about the rules of the system.
    (3) I too wish people were better educated on our system.
    (4) As to your final point, we are in 100% agreement: President Trump should not have dismissed what Secretary Clinton did with her private email server, and the Justice Department should empanel a Grand Jury to try the case.

that's only because you know little-to-nothing about my education or history

the concept in question here is the "will of voters", as coined in this thread, by borat

i assert that, the 'electoral college' is antithetical to the majority of people's measurable will

where 'will' is represented by the vote of a citizen and the electoral college represents the will of a few

mathematically it's 538 presidential electors deciding, versus 136,452,150 people voting for their choice

in a more fundamental and precise way, the "will of the voters" is determined by an individual person's vote

leaving the determination to states, gives politicos more power to wiggle and alter vote outcomes

just imagine if gore's majority of the popular vote had trumped the supreme court's decision

i bet the world would have been in much better hands with al at the helm

Your still trying to justify a warped perception by legitimizing exclusionary practices! Clearly total votes does not reflect the will of the people, that we have learned! The electoral college is a system to correct a few largely populated states from dictating outcomes for dozens of states and hundreds of counties!

Another thing you are avoiding are the votes leeched off from Johnson and Stein, there is a another nine million that can only be assumed of the impact they would have done in the final tally? Regardless Granny won a popular vote with 2,864,985 and lost the national vote or Electoral College "538" by 77 to Trumps 304! So using an analytical point of view the Electoral spread is far greater than Granny's popularity spread!

But we don't see that comparison do we ;)
