    Everything on this site.

I don't even know what to say. I didn't think Western countries made blatant propaganda like this. It's just endless, ENDLESS generalizing statements, fudge words and fuzzy feel-good slogans to make you feel like it's all a happy funtime, while it is in fact over-bearing, freedom-destroying, collectivist bull(*)(*)(*)(*) that does not tolerate non-conformity or opposing viewpoints, a view very clearly indicated by the fact they don't actually have an explicitly stated freedom of speech.

I don't care how they tart it up. I'm pretty sure that if I went there and got up on a podium in a crowded area and shouted "Islam is a barbaric delusion" or "I'm not using some made-up gender neutral pronoun just because less than 1% of the people I meet might not identify as male or female", I would either be arrested for violating some kind of morality law, or lynched on the spot by the populace who clearly want all this (*)(*)(*)(*).

Hmmm, you're seriously that upset that Sweden is, on the whole, a pretty nifty place?

I'm sorry that it bothers you so much that Sweden has so much going for it.

I'm not really sorry, by the way, it's just a saying.

Just relax and have a semla, made with genuine swedish cream. If it's just a tad dearer than before, that's because there's a nationwide drive to pay more for our milk to compensate the dairy farmers who are paid ridiculously little for their milk by the largely foreign owned dairy corporation Arla. We pay more for our milk directly to the farmers, in the true Swedish spirit of solidarity.

Sweden has ceased to be important since Poltava in 1709.

If being important means terrorists kill thousands of my countrymen in a single day, I'll just slip into the shadows right now.

I don't feel I'd be welcome unless I keep my mouth shut and go along with what everyone else thinks is right. Which I refuse to do.

If you didn't think that western nations vomit blatant propaganda on a continual basis then you haven't been watching.

I really do not understand why you felt the need to attack the official website of another country.

In that sentence, you clearly brag about your own ignorace of the subject you're posting on, and you're projecting your own prejudices and making stuff up (again).

I doubt that you'd be arrested.

But you wouldn't draw a crowd, either.

Most Swedes that I have known prefer to view the world intelligently, and addess issues from a knowledgable and practical standpoint, rather than one filled with venom, fear, ignorance and bigotry.

I have to wonder why you would post an attack on something and essentially announce taht you have no idea what you're talking about in the same paragraph.

Presumably no one is making you go there so you can keep your mouth open!

Sweden is such as nice place that most of us Europeans even forgive them for Abba!

I spent three weeks in Sweden and Norway a few years ago. We travelled all around, and got to meet a lot of people that tourists wouldn't ordinarily meet.

Sweden is far and away the most civilized place I've ever been too.

You are right. Sweden is a very nice place and I enjoyed my recent visit there. Which is why it is a crying shame you are importing Muslims barbarians who will tear the whole thing down.

I also wonder why all the Swedish fiction I've read. ("The Hypnotist", "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo", et. al.) is so dreary and depressing. I get a feeling of deep unease, even dysfuntion, in the Swedish psyche from such fiction. I've given up reading any more. But it is hardly a random sample, I guess.

    Perhaps you can explain it.

Why the hate? This is definitely upsetting my nationalistic feelings.

You're just jelly of Swedes because we are ubermensch, that's it. You just try to be better at us at recyciling. I dare you.

    Literally "above-men" - superior men.

Indeed, probably why the Nazis bought so much stuff from them in WW2.

Ignorance? It's not about knowledge, I'm making a value judgement. Well, except for Islam being a delusion - that's a statement of fact, because being a religion it is by its very nature not true.

If I'm a bigot for saying "he" and "she", then Sweden has gone mad.

Technically most of them died from diseases that they had no immune defences for, but the rest of them we killed yes.

It was Trudeau or Harper. Harper is the closest to an autocrat we've ever had, we had to get rid of him.

What's so bad about Harper? Isn't trudeau just your typical hippie liberal?

Harper doesn't like democracy all that much, or public accountability. He seemed to think that because he was elected with a majority (by only 40% of the electorate) that means he can do whatever he wants. Backbenchers? Opposition? Nope and nope. No one but Harper could come up with and thus pass laws. "C51? People don't like it? Who cares, I can do whatever I want because I have a majority and I'll destroy any Conservative MPs that oppose me. Now let me sift through all your emails."

Trudeau is a spineless, relativist hippie, but at least he's got good intentions. The same cannot be said of Stephen Harper.
