Well not everyone can serve the public whilst increasing their net worth 10,000% like some politicians we know /cough. But I'd be willing to bet that post-candidate Pete will do alright. Probably get a book deal, likely be invited to sit on some board of some political action organization. On the subject of in-office gains I'll be real interested to see what AOC comes out of her term in Congress with. You know shes not going back to "real life".

I wasn’t the one that brought up capital gains.

    Try again.

Because socialism doesn't exist in the US. If this was a Christain nation then the wealthy would need to donate all their wealth to the poor to follow Jesus.

lI don't see ANY approach from Republicans that is oriented to removing corruption from social safetynet programs.

All I see is attempts to kill such programs.

I hope post-candidate Mayor Pete sets his sights on Indiana Senator Todd Young in 2022.... He'd certainly have some great name recognition starting that race and I refuse to concede Indiana is a lost cause for the Blue... They went for Obama in 2008 and have had recent D Senators (Bayh and Donnelly)

You gotta admit that those net worths are chump change. I am surprised it is so low for the candidates. I would bet a lot of money that there is a lot of wealth stashed away in trust funds and significant other's bank accounts that isn't showing up in these figures.

You can look at their resumes. And, you'll get to see their tax returns.

it's not like VP Cheny+Haliburton or Trump+his father.

I'm waiting for all the Democrats in Congress to vow to release their tax returns if Trump will...anyone feel Epstein enough to hold their breath with me?
They make 180K a year, yet they are all multi millionaires, does any lefty even care to wonder where all that $ comes from?

That's because they need to die.

Every program out there is full of fraud. Every damn one. SNAP? Oh yeah, the so-called richest country in the world yet we need a food stamp program KNA a free EBT card. Mexico doesn't have food stamps yet they are fat as hell. Welfare programs are nothing but free money so the losers can buy other crap, namely drugs and luxuries common folk don't even buy, like rib eye steaks for example.

The do-gooders got the ADA laws passed. Seemed like a worthy thing.....now every fat sob in town has a blue tag hanging from their mirror. If you're in a wheelchair, that's fine. If you're missing a leg, that's fine. If you had knee surgery, that's fine. But if you're a lard ass you need to walk.....it's not a handicap stuffing your big fat mouth.

There are many ways to become rich while in office too. Insider trading is probably one of the easiest ways.

Nancy Pelosi has participated in eight IPOs, including some involving companies that had business before her House. Giving a Senator or Congressperson pre-IPO shares in a company is allowed under current rules, even though giving them an equal amount in cash would be considered a illegal bribe.

They make the laws. So, like Las Vegas casinos, the House will always have an advantage.

"They need to die" is not a solution.

Are Republicans capable of finding solutions?

Not according to their records on health care, immigration, infrastructure, safety net, international relations, wages, education, deficit, ...

There is absolutely no justification what-so-ever for an EBT food card in this country. Third world shithole countries aren't starving.....

I get it. You don't want those people off the plantation. Welfare programs are vote buying programs.

Forty million Americans, including 12m children are food insecure even now.

Your claim that interest in that problem is just a vote quest is not only false, it is absolutely disgusting.

Horseshit. 'Food insecure' :roflol: I've heard it all now.

I've seen this 'food insecure' phenomenon first hand. Texas has done a disservice by redesigning the lonestar card so that it's not so obvious what it is.

When you see a gaggle of lard-ass wets filling up shopping carts.... getting it for free....and then use a real credit card for beer....then proceed to their late-model luxury SUV.....maybe, just maybe libs could figure this out. Guess not. :bored:

Get on a plane and go to a country where a teacher makes less than $500/month and then you may find this 'food insecurity' you are seeking. Leeches get more than that on welfare here.

That's what you call "evidence"? You don't even have one legitimate data point here.

And, remember. I'm fine with improving the system. You just haven't proposed anything that remotely could be considered a solution.
