You are perfectly correct. It is not capitalism per se that is the problem. It is the way it has been captured and warped by greedy people who have absolutely no morals.

Capitalism is a system that operates in most countries, even now in Cuba - and we all know about China. It works well in improving the material lives of peoples but it is open to vast abuse by people who bend governments to allow its unregulation.

In the US, Obama has now tried to correct the appalling laissez-faire of his predecessors by passaging the Dodd-Franks Act to regulate the financial sector.

The Governement or milltary tell us about some new 'intelligence' that means that they have to have another conflict - and not only do the masses believe them, they believe the action 'noble'.

Until you break that pattern of thought, you have an ongoing sequence of spending staggering sums of money getting into those conflicts.

Naturally, this money must come from somewhere. It comes from the taxpayer. Because the money is being spent on these conflicts (which can be avoided, no question), it logically means that monies that were perhaps intended for areas that would benefit our society, such a public services, job creation, etc, it is no longer there. We end up being the one's to suffer for the cost of the conflicts that our Gov's told us were a good idea.

And too many of the masses nod their heads and believe it all.

Of course, there is also profit in conflict.

It's just not for the like of you and I, nor the nodding masses.

When the masses do less nodding and more critical thinking, then we shall see a gradual shift and change.

There is even the arguement that we are seeing the start of this, right about now.

The only thing keeping it and the rest of Europe going is the capitalism that still remains to be raped for the good of the public, until it gives out like it currently is doing. Socialism is dying, it is running out of money. This economic downturn is only a sign of it. France, Spain, Italy, all flat broke. Greece dangerously close to default. Socialist-style policies are weighing it down and the only thing keeping it going are the "evil" banks.
