Are you counting The Deep State as a geographical entity? What is the 51st state?

In the US Census, the population of DC is also counted. I already noted this in a posting before. So, while DC does not get representation in the US House of Representatives, the residents of DC are counted in the US census. You knew this, right? Oh, wait, maybe you didn't. It's simpler to write 51 "states" than to continuously have to write "50 states plus DC".

I could encourage you to learn to discern, but I think that would be a futile request. Instead, I'm simply going to block you. So, bye bye.

Yes it is simpler to write 51, but if you were honest you would have said that you have an in with the administrator and changed the numbers in 2 of your post and even the numbers in the post that I replied to way after the edit function was no longer available. It's ok because I was making a joke about a simple mistake and you went through great lengths to hide it.

quality of life can be an issue though, due to the high housing prices, or, in areas where the prices a little lower, lack of very many good job opportunities.

The area used to be very different 50, even just 30 years ago. It was less built up, smaller, a bit more community. Working class people could actually buy houses.

One could say it's a great place to live if you already own a house and have lots of money. (Taxes are bit high too, on top of that)

Also the young people in these areas (talking about 18 to 27 years old) don't just go out and rent their own place. There's no realistic way they could do that. They stay with family. Often boomeranging back for short periods even after moving out.

Redding is a different story though, farther north and more affordable, but there's not much out there. Some beautiful scenery though, but again, it's a very different place to visit than to live. Probably still tough to be able to raise a family there though.
