OMGosh…Romney won hands down….Obama stumbled and stammered and looked down…he was not confident. Why? His failure while in office. Romney looked Presidential and more than anything…looked financially smart….he will fix our economy. Am shocked….was worried at the start…….happier than a clam. GO ROMNEY
The Federal Highway system was not included the interstate commerce clause. So, please stop lying out your ass. In fact, Ike had to argue that it would be for defense purposes, hence known as the National Interstate and Defense Highways Act. It is called political maneuvering around the Constitution.
Romney looked like he was about to have a stroke the entire time. He once again failed to mention any specifics for his plans. Surprise!
I have always thought of Romney as a mushy moderate turd....... .....albeit Im crawling through glass this November to vote for him...... ......but I thought it was one of his best debates ever.....he pwned Obama. . .
Obama couldn't defend himself against the direct proof that Romney brought up and he dispelled the lies the democrats have been preaching. Good win Romney!
wait...wut? I thought Republicans were upset because Obama was cutting medicare... Did you watch the debate?
Wow I'm shocked. I knew Romney was a good debater from the governor's election. But Obama is a good speaker so beforehand I thought a tie would be a good result. But Obama got curb stomped. The first hour was just an epic beatdown. Obama didn't have body language that he felt comfortable at all that first hour. The Solyndra points and the slamming of Frank Dodd obviously made Obama uncomfortable. The biggest was the tax credit for sending jobs to China that Romney slammed. The second hour Obama got more comfortable and I would call that a tie. The first hour Obama looked down when he answered and Romney looked at Obama. The second half he came back a little, but overall Romney beat him easily.
Obama has always been a horrible speaker IMO. He can't speak without teleprompter. He stammered around for facts….Romney reminded me of Reagan…he looked and talked the part. Whether this will make a difference ….who the heck knows. Obama will still get the moochers…and the Blacks who don't care about the content of what is being talked about.
We need the highway system to move our military around to where the enemy is at. Would suck if the country was nothing but dirt roads and we needed to move tanks from Illinois to Texas.
Was a no contest. Romney absolutely demolished Obama tonite. You could see the anger and frustration in Obamas face almost the entire time. The shrivled up tight lips, the sunken in eyes, the constant looks at the moderator for desperate help. I very thoroughly enjoyed seeing Obama squirm so much.
I am a prophet! In another thread I recently said that Romney needed a good result out of this debate more than Obama did and he would try harder. I also said that Romney would be debate-ready after all the debates he had in the Republican Primaries while Obama would be rusty in his debating skills. Finally, I said that Obama didn't respect Romney and that could easily come across as arrogance. So look at the first half-hour of the debate. All of those things came to pass, and during the most crucial part of the debate (discussing the economy). Romney definitely won the debate; the question now is by how much. I'm not sure who kept to reality more, but I do know who made the better impression (was that really wooden Mitt up there?).
Cutting one Democrat Ponzi Scheme to fund another Democrat Ponzi Scheme...... ........where was the cut exactly?....... . .
All in all I thought Romney was very strong in this debate - he made his living getting up in front of people and convincing them he knows what he's talking about; but he kind of ruined it in the end with the fear-mongering bullcrap. It was like Fox News wrote his closing statement. Obama, on the other hand, needs to be willing to call Romney out on redefining his tax, healthcare, and education policies on the fly.
There are a few points I need to make most Americans didn't likely watch the whole debate it was on so late so will see clips and read about it in the newspaper or similar sources second hand so how they performed was not actually a big deal to me. What the bullet points were and what Polticfact will say about the debate bullet points will IMHO. Most people will see this as Romney is either against the poor, elderly, veterans and the disabled the 47% that the Democrats now are using as a weapon and its hard to get away from and other key points that matters to them. I did watch it I think Romney had the stronger showing but his message and policies if taken part by part will and there he looks elitist and out of touch with the average American and that he doesn't care.
I want to point out that while I believe Romney won...I think he did so by completely abandoning the right wing. This was a very moderate Romney. And very far left from the Romney we've seen in the past year.
And to think we get to see this ass whooping another couple times...... .....not to mention Paul Ryan taking Joe Biden out to the woodshed...... Gotta luv it..... . .
