    Interesting trade.

Presti doesn't (*)(*)(*)(*) around. The same day Harden declined the extension, he got moved.

The Heat came out strong last night, and beat Boston, even with Lebron sitting out the 4th quarter...

I expect that'll probably comtinue throughout the year...

And, the Dirk-less Mavs surprised the Lakers last night...

One thing I noticed, Nash needs to be running the ball up the court...

7 pts, 4 ast, 2 reb is a terrible night for Steve Nash...

If Nash is not running the floor, this new setup for LA will be meaningless...

And, tonight, NOLA hits the court against the Spurs...

Looking forward to a W to start the year off right, with a good season to follow...

    GEAUX HORNETS!!!

LA looked like a hot mess yesterday. Mike Brown needs to be fired. He's Steve Nash dude, former 2 time MVP, not Steve Blake or Derek Fisher.

Having not seen my Lakers lose their first 2 games( only hi-lites, I work evenings), all my fears seemed to come to fruition: Terrible defense, especially on the perimeter; Physically fragile. Nash is already hurting & Kobe with his leg & probably plenty of missed games ahead (for the starters); Weak bench & chemistry issues. I wasn't super confident going into the season & even less so now.
The Heat are without a doubt the team to beat. I don't foresee much challenge coming from the East. To me, the only challenge for Miami is not getting bored & staying healthy. D.Rose getting & staying healthy & the Bulls gelling at playoff time is pretty much the best we can hope for the Heat getting an Eastern Conference test. Yes the Celts will be a pain in the arse to the Heat, like they always are, but I expect the Heat to roll them this year.
The West on the other hand has all kind of possibilities. Could make the Finals(?), in no particular order: Thunder, Rockets, Spurs, Mavs, Clippers, Lakers, Blazers & the Grizz. How about a Clippers/Grizzlies West Final? I don't think it not out of the realm of possibilities. Even the Western Conference alsorans are gonna be competitive(N.O., Minny, Denver, etc.). It should be fun!

Lakers need to run pick and rolls with Nash. Let him run the offense. Let him do his thing. I'm having flashbacks to the Last Laker superteam back in 03-04 when Gary Payton was horribly misused.

Kobe needs to defer a bit and change his game. And Mike Brown needs to be fired, he's in over his head.

Rockets looked good tonight, Harden was amazing, and my boy Lin looked solid, too. That's one hell of a backcourt.

The Lakers won't fire Brown anytime soon, unless "somebody" complains about how the team is being run. Gee, just who could that "somebody" be?
Yes, the Rockets should be fun to watch. During the regular season, they should do well. Come playoff time, when the game tends to slow down, we'll see how it goes.

I don't know if that'll be a consistent thing from him, but, wow, though...

2 nights in a row, Tony Parker has put the dagger in another team's potential win...

    That dude, I swear...

IF the San Antonio Spurs stay healthy, I think they have a great shot of going to the NBA Finals. But that is a huge IF, 'cause their recent past doesn't suggest that they can stay healthy.

    Source: Lakers fire Mike Brown

That didn't take long now did it. One bad look from Kobe & Mike Brown is looking for a new job.

Reportedly, the top 2 candidates are Phil & Mike D'Antonio. Yea, right...the only candidate is Phil, with the only question being if he wants it, with his health being the only obstacle. MD is only the backup plan if Jackson decides his health can't handle the rigorous travel that comes with being an NBA coach.

Yeah, I think Phil, while being the most likely candidate that they want, is unlikely to take that job at this point...

The Lakers hire Mike D'Antonio & Phil Jackson is stunned.

As am I. And my guess many other Laker fan. I think it came down to money & power, & Jim Buss has it & wasn't gonna give it up.
