Come on Chuck....don't leave me hanging.

I have absolutely no intention to be rude nor am I in any way trying to put you on the spot.

What I AM trying to do is teach you a few things you might not know and perhaps I might learn a few things as well.

Well...since you have not replied I will tell you why we see the sky as BLUE.

First of all let me make it clear that our Human Eyes and the Photon Receptors that detect light and thus send these signals to our brains are limited to see and detect a certain spectrum of what we call...Visible Light...well at least visible for humans as other animals can see or not see different frequencies of light.

We actually never SEE an object or material but in essence SEE or detect the reflected light coming from an object or material. As well...depending upon the frequency of light being reflected off the object or material will determine what we see or what colors we see.

For instance we see a different color when a different frequency of light is being beamed and reflected off a material as when we use a Red Light in a dark room and look at a white paper the paper appears red...as well other colors appear different in a red or black or deep blue light then they would if it were sun light being used or a light bulb or a florescent light.

As well the color of an object or material is seen as either being red or blue or yellow...etc...because the atoms that comprise this material and their specific electron orbital fields will allow a specific light frequency to be reflected off them...as our Atmosphere is about 20% OXYGEN...this is an element that reflects at a light frequency our eyes determine to be BLUE and Nitrogen tend not to be that reflective thus when our sunlight reflects off the Oxygen Atoms in our Atmosphere we detect this as BLUE.

Four spatial dimensions. Otherwise, you can't explain the Quantum Leap, Indeterminacy, Entanglement, etc. The left-handed amino acids in life forms are an example of flipping in a 4th Spatial Dimension.

Need at Minimum 10 or 11 Dimensional States.

Since all Hadrons...ie...Protons and Neutrons are COMPLETELY COMPRISED of Quantum Particle/Wave Froms such as Quarks, Gluons, Leptons, Mesons, Higgs-Bosons...etc...thus these Quanta exist as BOTH PARTICLE AND WAVE....we need at AN ABSOLUTE MINIMUM 10 or 11 Dimensional states and it could be 26 or more at a minimum.

If we didn't have at least that many dimensional states these Quanta could not exist thus Matter could not exist....neither could energy.

All that unnecessary complication is the result of rejecting the 4th Dimension in the first place. Einstein couldn't make his equations work in 3D, so he made up the absurdity of time as a dimension. The postmodernist scientific mistake is very similar to the one that kept the geocentric theory going by making up "epicycles" to explain the irregular orbits that were actually regular under the forbidden heliocentric theory. Finally it all got too confusing, but today's freak sicko scientists actually love to be confused, so they keep on adding more absurdities to get them out of having to face reality.

I remember meeting one of these "Cool! Wow!" childish escapists. He said he was studying Chaos Theory, saying "chaos" like it was some drug he was high on. No wonder John Nash went insane being around nut cases like the Quantum Quacks.

We really need to make a comprehensive collection of "observations ignored because they stubbornly refused to ratify simplistic models." By now, this method of enforcing reality would have grown quite large.

Well - Urbain Le Verrier would definitely disagree. He used pre Einstein theories to predict the location of Neptune before it was discovered

Anybody who claims on his web site that when astronomy and the Bible disagree then the Bible takes precedences is certainly not worth my time

Then you clearly do not understand the theory you are defending. Ptolemy's model shows the Earth and Jupiter should stay roughly 680 million miles apart though an entire orbit of Jupiter. Under the Heliocentric model, Jupiter's position changes from 685 million to 871 million miles in a year

Complete silliness - For that to be the case Neptune would need to be moving at 2.24 x times the speed of light

And what explanation does your theory have for the changing progression of constellations in the night sky. According to your theory, the same stars should always be visible in the same part of the sky, every night, no matter the time of year

The heliocentric theory's biggest issue at the time was not that it was forbidden, but that it made no prediction any better or more accurately than the geocentric. So no one saw any reason to overturn existing thinking

In astronomy things that don't fit theories are the most intensely studied objects in the sky. Eta Carina - The star that shouldn't exist has more papers written about it than any other object in our galaxy

again you want to misrepresent, but I am absolutely not surprised. I guess I'll have to dumb it down for your consumption.

Atheists do not pretend to know it all. They recognize that human ignorance is what actually drives our curiousity, our need to find out what the answers are. Its drives scientific enquiry. Its all about answering the W5 of our existence.

It is not about not caring about ignorance, its about accepting that there's all this stuff we dont yet know, but for sure aren't willing to except any supernatural explanation. In all the history of science, there has never been a shred of evidence to support any supernatural phenomena. so unlike theists whose answers all require faith in a millenial old explanation rendered by the profoundly ignorant, atheists prefer to look to rational explanation and alternatives to the supernatural to explain their existence and purpose.

the ol' grammar nazi argument. I don't have spell check, I am a fast typist and I don't catch all of my spelling mistakes. I repeat some spelling mistakes mostly due to an incorrect fingering sequence. It has absolutely nothing to do with the content of my posts but I can see why you might want to make it an issue and/or assail my credibility and intelligence.

Sucha delightful mixture of self righteous pomposity and immaterial schoomarm spell checking.
Tell ya what big guy, get back to me when you get the remotest clue of what atheism is really all about.
At least in this day and age, you guys can't simply go around burning us at the stake for the sake of your very own FSM.

IIRC, there are great doubts about M theory et.al. since the LHC experiments failed to provide expected evidence of the supersymmetry theory.

It is a credit to Renaissance thinkers that they didn't stick with the absurdity of trying to fit new facts into an authoritarian theory. Postmodern and Postclassical really mean Pre-Renaissance, which means the Dark Ages. The New Age degenerates are now even trying to claim that there were no Dark Ages and that the Middle Ages were actually part of the Renaissance. Therefore, as a contrarian to these weirdos, I conclude that the Middle Ages were merely an exhausted Dark Age. Dumb bully minds rather than dumb bully actions, except, of course, burning free minds at the stake.

Regardless of whether M or Brane Theory is a reality....because Photons and Electrons as well as every other type of Quanta exist as both PARTICLE AND WAVE...we still need at minimum 10.

    okay thanks.

supersymmetry is under attack thru experimental result.

    http://news.discovery.com/space/lhc-discovery-maims-supersymmetry-again-130724.htm

It is interesting that apart from the four dimension of the einsteinian universe, all other "theories" of multiple dimensions (ST, SUSY) were not discovered, they were mathematically invented. Not a shred of experimental evidence has been yet discovered, despite our ability to create experiments based on SUSY or ST hypotheses.

the math might be elegant and sound, but so far is predictions have not been detectable.

See the thing is WE KNOW that our Universal Space/Time Dimensionality must exist as more than 4-D.

4 Dimensional States can be represented by Length, Width, Height and Time.

But we have Quantum Particle/Wave Forms existing such as how Light or Photons exist as both PARTICLE and WAVE.

Because of this it is essentially 100% PROOF that there must exist more than just 4-D.

Try as I might I cannot understand how you arrive at the fact such a fundamental property of the universe proves more than 4 dimensions.
I am well aware that photons can exist as both wave and particle, but this quantum phenomena does not prove anything about more dimensions.

Please provide some reference that discusses this proof based on wave/particle duality.

Expecting proof of a developing theory...indicates a fundamental misunderstanding of the scientific process.

We begin with hypothesis~ Basically an idea created in the mind.
If the hypothesis holds up to scrutiny and is not disproven it becomes a theory.
This is where things get rather serious, as others begin to try as hard as possible to tear it apart (peer review), which can take decades or longer.
During this time a theory is in limbo and neither agreed upon as possible fact, nor is it dismissed as nonsense...it goes through a very strange and mysterious stage we call......study.

Few theories ever reach the level of law.....and those that do are then added to and revised continuously.

We never stop investigating, researching, and learning.

In some ways....there can be no absolute fact.

But if you read the link it provides the reasoning behind my statement.

Look...we can perceive not only 4 dimensional states such as length, width, depth and time but we can also perceive with our own human eyes other dimensional states such that exist to allow LIGHT FREQUENCY thus we can see COLOR.

Color perception is specific and caused by our eyes and photon receptors in them and their connections to our brains ABILITY TO PERCEIVE AND INTERPRET SPECIFIC LIGHT FREQUENCY AS COLOR.

The ability for Photons or Light to exist as both PARTICLE AND WAVE allows for frequency of light or WAVELENGTH. LINK...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visible_spectrum

The visible spectrum is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to (can be detected by) the human eye. Electromagnetic radiation in this range of wavelengths is called visible light or simply light. A typical human eye will respond to wavelengths from about 390 to 700 nm.[1] In terms of frequency, this corresponds to a band in the vicinity of 430–790 THz. A light-adapted eye generally has its maximum sensitivity at around 555 nm (540 THz), in the green region of the optical spectrum (see: luminosity function). The spectrum does not, however, contain all the colors that the human eyes and brain can distinguish. Unsaturated colors such as pink, or purple variations such as magenta, are absent, for example, because they can be made only by a mix of multiple wavelengths. Colors containing only one wavelength are also called pure colors.
Visible wavelengths pass through the "optical window", the region of the electromagnetic spectrum which allows wavelengths to pass largely unattenuated through the Earth's atmosphere. An example of this phenomenon is that clean air scatters blue light more than red wavelengths, and so the midday sky appears blue.

    Light-like interval[edit]
    \begin{align}
    c^2\Delta t^2 &= \Delta r^2 \\
    s^2 &= 0 \\
    \end{align}
In a light-like interval, the spatial distance between two events is exactly balanced by the time between the two events. The events define a squared spacetime interval of zero (s^2 = 0). Light-like intervals are also known as "null" intervals.
Events which occur to or are initiated by a photon along its path (i.e., while traveling at c, the speed of light) all have light-like separation. Given one event, all those events which follow at light-like intervals define the propagation of a light cone, and all the events which preceded from a light-like interval define a second (graphically inverted, which is to say "pastward") light cone.

Particle interference and the double slit experiment.
One of the first things a beginning student of quantum theory encounters is the double slit particle interference phenomenon. Understanding this phenomenon is the key to understanding quantum mechanics. Particles pass through two narrow slits in a screen and then impinge on a second screen making small dots. After many particles have hit the second screen one sees an interference pattern develop in the form of light and dark stripes similar to light interference fringes. It looks like we are dealing with waves passing through the two slits together with the particles, but the interference pattern appears even if the particles arrive at the screen one by one. It seems that a particle somehow interferes with itself, but how can this be possible? It was this strange phenomenon and the inability to explain it that motivated Bohr to develop his idea of complementarity. After having struggled with this riddle and discussed it with leading scientists over a long time he came to believe that it was impossible to explain the particle-wave duality and that we just have to accept that Nature is strange. Somehow matter is both particle and wave. He thought that we have to regard these two descriptions as being complementary. Ever since the 1920:ties people working with quantum theory have simply accepted this unsatisfactory situation and students first encountering quantum theory have to struggle to accept, or if this is impossible, to live with this state of affairs. Bohr and his followers came to believe that the inability to explain this aspect of quantum mechanics is an unavoidable fact and that the quantum world has it own strange rules that are very different from our macroscopic world.
In standard quantum mechanics the double slit problem is handled by assuming that the particle passes through both slits simultaneously so that it can interfere with itself. Although this doesn't make much physical sense it seems to give the right answer. The standard interpretation by which a wave function expresses probability helps, since it can be argued that we are dealing with probabilities rather than with actual events. Still, this doesn't really explain why interference appears when just a single particle at a time passes through the slits.
The first indication that there after all might be possible to explain single particle interference came from David Bohm who used his guiding function to find the trajectory of a particle. This was a significant step since it showed that interference fringes would appear if the particle went through one of the two slits being guided by a “pilot wave” emanating from the two slits. However, it went only part of the way, since the matter wave seemingly still had to go through both slits, which would imply that the matter wave and particle must follow different trajectories.
In our interpretation the matter wave is a relativistic phenomenon generated by the particle's motion. It is a phase modulation of a very high frequency oscillation in the metrics. However, this wave modulation might extend beyond the particle, spreading out both in front of and behind it. Let's assume that the particle just has passed though one of the two slits. Its matter wave extends backward to the screen with the two slits. Let's further assume that this matter wave does not vary at the screen. This is a boundary condition that fixes the phase of the wave along the screen. One way to see that this must be true is to consider an observer moving with the particle who will see the screen with the two slits moving. The metrics of spacetime relative to this observer oscillate at the screen and points along the screen will be in phase. However, the two open slits do not constrain the phase and because of this an interference pattern in the metrics of spacetime develops in the space behind the screen. As a result the amplitude and phase of the matter wave varies slightly when the particle moves from point to point. At locations where the particle's distances to the two slits differs by an integer number of wavelengths the amplitude of the matter wave is larger than at locations where the interference is destructive. As a consequence the particle resonates with a matter wave (i.e. a modulation of its Compton oscillation) that varies with its position. Note that this matter wave is the resonating response at the moving particle and that the pattern develops because of the double slit geometry. Thus, we are dealing with self-interference. But, how can this affect the particle's motion?
