I would like to send a message out there to all believers from me. I am someone who has walked the line between life and death and have had the privilege to see both sides on this narrow path. There is an afterlife- there absolutely is! And everyone who goes to the afterlife will be in the Heaven of their choosing for as long as they want- it's Christmas every day there. And this place includes Hitler and Dahmer, but everyone gets their own little universe to play God in like you. When that game gets old, you can move to the third level of ultimate truth, but you have to pass through the second level. The second level of Heaven is the effect of your life upon the universe. It's every good and bad thing you did in your life replayed to an audience of neutral people. To Gandhi, it's a simple step. For Hitler, it requires a few million years of torment and death. This is where you lay your bones. Ultimately everyone passes through although it takes more for some than others. This information: your firsthand perspective of reality as having lived in it- forms a book in an infinite library. And you are a card carrying member and are free to browse the selections. You enter and experience lives firsthand from the author- you relive life through their eyes. And this is your place- a place of infinite knowledge from firsthand accounts. And I am not talking about humans- I include a quadrillion other sentient life forms who are in the club. The thing you are? You're a neuron to an infinite brain of thought; collectively you represent our Universe.
I hope you question and analyze my words and provide feedback- it is a closed place and I know the whole of it.
He caused millions of deaths. There are millions of souls waiting to meet him one-on-one in the afterlife.
What's so bad and unique about that? Other people did a lot worse. King Leopold II of Belgium killed over 12 million black Africans in the Congo. Titus killed about a million when he sacked Jerusalem in 70 AD. Stalin killed tens of millions. Mao killed untold millions. Genghis Khan had a grand time marauding through Asia and Europe. Pol Pot whacked off a couple of million. So why single out Hitler? Was his victims somehow more special than everyone else's?
You brought it up as an example of someone who would be in hell. I was exploring why you think that. The New testament gives a list of things that people might go to hell for. Very few posters rarely comment on them. Instead they always cite Hitler. People loved that guy.
He's more famous. You know how it is, no matter how much talent you have, your reputation is really down to your publicist.
I think the thing with Hitler is that his victims were more "special" than the other guys' were. So by making him out to be the worse they gain extra status as some kind of special victims. Plus it makes everyone else feel guilty. That's why we have a couple of dozen "holocaust" museums in the US. We ignore our own victims but worship Hitler's. That's sick.
