I recommend you refrain from critiquing the logic of others, for your own good.....consider this helpful advice.
No, only in your mind is it going "beserk." Humans, with their limited thinking, have no way of possibly knowing why things happen the way they do. You are attaching labels to things that you're completely ignorant about. That's mainly because of your preconceptions regarding what outght to be. You ego is basically getting in the way of see the Reality of things.
Lol, and atheists just can't stop frequenting religious threads that are devoid of logic and reason. You guys are full of it.
Sure, but there are varying degrees to which a given person is either entrenched, or alert of the pervasiveness of this dualism. This is only because of the degree to which someone is blinded by dualism. For instance, the extent to which a loss of a loved one affects someone is dependent on the level of that person's attachment to the world of dualism. This is because a mind that percieves Oneness in everything knows that he really lost nothing, for there is only Reality to begin with. Ego logic.
du·al·ism /ˈd(y)o͞oəˌlizəm/ noun noun: dualism; plural noun: dualisms 1. the division of something conceptually into two opposed or contrasted aspects, or the state of being so divided. "a dualism between man and nature" Philosophy a theory or system of thought that regards a domain of reality in terms of two independent principles, especially mind and matter ( Cartesian dualism ). noun: Cartesian dualism the religious doctrine that the universe contains opposed powers of good and evil, especially seen as balanced equals. in Christian theology, the heresy that in the incarnate Christ there were two coexisting persons, human and divine. the quality or condition of being dual; duality. I am a bit confused how duality fits into this discussion or religion/God in general. Perhaps it is being used improperly?
I know exactly why these things happen. It's due to the way the world has/is evolving. Much due to the tectonic plates and the continental drift. Now we have manmade global warming. And after 79 years of life, I've seen the Reality of things. .
Because your emotions are clouding your judgement. Tsunamis make you feel bad, and you project that feeling on the world around you. You have ingrained expectations regarding what life should be like, and how the universe should act. Your expectations are not met, and your mind is thus fixated on what pains you. You fail to see anything else, for your sole focus is on your failed expectations. Rinse and repeat; this is an insidious cycle that prevents you from seeing anything but what has failed to meet your expectations.
I've calmed down, had a cup of tea. With all your 'knowledge' you have no idea of 'Reality' really is. It's the man in his large house drinking and eating to excess and careless of the child in Yemen blasted out of house and home - family killed. Reality is a world on the edge of extinction when one maniac presses the wrong button. Is that the world a creator would even put up with. People he would want anything to do with. And logic has nothing to do with Ego. Sound and reasonable judgement.
No, because I don't belive in an "invisible man in the sky". The daftenss of atheists becomes readily apparent when they start equating the Concept of God with invisible men and leprechauns. They have an intellectual capacity of a fourteen year old, and most are trapped in an adolesecent mindset.
Expect that your general judgment is clouded by the dissatisfaction of your ego. You are allowing your emotions to get in the way of a truly objective perception of the universe. Dead children in Yemen make you feel real bad, and you conclude the nonexistence of God based on your emotional distaste. Atheists must embrace Reason, and do away with emotionally-based viewpoints.
Actually, it is religious folks who first anthropomorphize gods. Also, the entirety of the Bible does this. So you might want to direct your whining where it belongs....
Funny you guys and gals don't understand goomba's thinking. I understand it. I don't agree with it, but I understand it. Try reading a little of this article on pantheism, that will help clarify where he's coming from. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantheism
I am not equating the invisible man in the sky to leprechauns. Have you seen God? Where does God live ? up in the sky. People who are intelligent enough to question aren’t the ones with the intellectual capacity of a 14-year-old. People who believe in this invisible man in the sky have the same capacity as a four year old who believe a man in a red suit brings them toys on Xmas same concept
How true and I question who made the rule that God has to live somewhere, or that you can see God or touch God? I thought God was considered to be a 'being', man now huh? Seems you have a lot of splainin to do kool! Whats its name? Interesting, so you believe that believers are automatons and only atheists have free will? I thought free will was born out of evol religious theology: Jewish philosophy stresses that free will is a product of the intrinsic human soul, using the word neshama (from the Hebrew root n.sh.m. or .נ.ש.מ meaning "breath"), but the ability to make a free choice is through Yechida (from Hebrew word "yachid", יחיד, singular), the part of the soul that is united with God, the only being that is not hindered by or dependent on cause and effect (thus, freedom of will does not belong to the realm of the physical reality, and inability of natural philosophy to account for it is expected). The philosopher Søren Kierkegaard claimed that divine omnipotence cannot be separated from divine goodness.[7] As a truly omnipotent and good being, God could create beings with true freedom over God. Furthermore, God would voluntarily do so because "the greatest good... which can be done for a being, greater than anything else that one can do for it, is to be truly free."[8] Alvin Plantinga's "free will defense" is a contemporary expansion of this theme, adding how God, free will, and evil are consistent.[9] Christianity In the Bible The biblical ground for free will lies in the fall into sin by Adam and Eve that occurred in their "willfully chosen" disobedience to God.[10] "Freedom” and "free will" can be treated as one because the two terms are commonly used as synonyms.[11] However, there are widespread disagreements in definitions of the two terms.[12] Because of these disagreements, Mortimer Adler found that a delineation of three kinds of freedom is necessary for clarity unless of course atheists believe in a 'soul'! Im pretty rusty on the various religions but neoatheists seem to be pretty far over the edge of reality in their religious theories. well the secular world sticks to the big bang story
