In what way? This was a business tax cut to help American businesses be more competitive in the world market. Any personal tax cuts were simply something to help sell the cut. The personal tax cuts are temporary as you know. You missed the whole point of the tax cut.

 

The overwhelming majority of US business are pass throughs which tend to commingle business earnings and income for tax purposes.

 

The business part of it is accounted for in the same way that it is with a C corp. The difference is that there is one return both for the business and the individual. The S corp owner gains nothing other than that and loses nothing because of it. Your argument is a straw man.

My business is a C corp so the company files a business return apart from my personal one. If it were an S corp, there would be just one return but the financial reports would be the same.

There is a chance that an S corp owner might pay more for the business profits depending on his or her personal tax rate.
