You missed the bigger part of the story. While the article was about preventing the Trump from stealing the election, there was a much bigger effort afoot. There have been these articles that popped up from time to time in engineering trade journals. Shortly after the Trump became president, it held a series of meetings with the captains of industry, finance, and commerce, in an effort to bring everyone on board with its plan for the future. By the accounts that have been told, those meetings didn’t go well with many leaving with the impression that the a Trump had to go. That it was bad for business, bad for the country.

When the Trump ran in 2016 it claimed it didn’t need donations because it was so very wealthy. Turns out that its campaign was financed with large contributions, lots of help from PACs. In 2020, however, not nearly as much funding was available to the Trump. In the home stretch of the election, the Trump had to pull television ads and cut back on appearances because it was running out of money, just as Biden was awash in cash.

The great conspiracy was that more people were persuaded to vote and that our elections are surprisingly secure. The Trump lost because the majority of the voters did not like it and wanted it gone. Unlike lil’ Bush, the wealthy, by and large, did not try to prop it up the second time around, its stink was so bad.

    Yes Socialism,
Not to worry you will experience it soon.
Why don’t you visit/research a few socialist country’s before voting for it?

I just woke up after a quiet peaceful nap and realized something.
I’m not worried about defending some party or what my future holds or really about anything.
I’m thinking about taking a swim or going for a hike or having a few cocktails with my non-political neighbors.
What are you doing right now?

Time Magazine, in an extensive article, publishes a description of the Democratic"cabal" and "conspiracy" among Democrat operatives, high tech companies, big business titans, and state politicians to affect and control (my term would be rig) the election of 2020 -- an well oiled and highly financed operation throughout 2020 and after the election. Among other things it chronicles the effort to convince state politicos to unconstitutionally bypass legislatures and make changes in state election processes to insure a better outcome.

Of course Time Magazine puts a very heavy spin on it calling the left's and Democrats' efforts noble and the Trump efforts nefarious. "“They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying it,” Time magazine says. Yeah, right!

This shows how blatant the electoral manipulation was. TIME acknowledges it, but spins/slants it as a good thing.

I've always said democracy in this country was an illusion. This proves it.

I didn't vote for him, so I've been over it for years.

It's bloody obvious that there were huge amounts of electoral fraud. Get over that, if you are able to be that honest with yourself.

You do realize that now that the foundation has been laid this can go against you also right? There is nothing to stop this from happening again. And when it comes to your turn, you can bet you won't think it so "noble". Or are you like a rebellious teen who thinks that they are invincible and nothing bad will ever happen to them?

They don’t consider that. They only look at the current situation and their current opinion. Part of the reason is there is no shame in open hypocrisy. Actually they feel it’s justified.

"They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying it." Shadow Campaign describes in details what Democrats and their allies were doing behind the scenes....mass voter registration, ballot harvesting, bullying Republican officials, changing election laws etc., but don't worry they weren't 'rigging' the election, they were 'fortifying' it. A synonym for 'fortifying' is 'CHEATING'.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/t...aign-that-fortified-2020-election/vi-BB1dvYgv

Isn't it just rich that since their puppet has been elected potus that they now unveil the details of how they 'rigged' or 'fortified' the election process. Despite their shenanigans that helped get their puppet elected potus, they continue to complain calling we Republicans sore losers for questioning the election process. And I'm quite sure the lefty impeachment idiots today will be bringing up quotes of Trump questioning the validity of that election. We can clearly see now that this 'Shadow Campaign' had indeed 'rigged' the election.

    "Mass voter registration"?

You mean the thing that both parties do just before elections to try and get more Americans to vote?

Every year for the last 100 years? That thing?

    The Horror! The Horror!

Why are you linking to the Epoch Times (a slanted "news" publication run by the Falun Gong cult) instead of Time Magazine?

And 8f exactly the same thing had been done to favor Trump you'd be screaming bloody murder and rightfully so. Those elites didn't preserve democracy or protect it, they castrated it.

And then we have the GOP, using paramilitary groups to be the strong arm of the Party.

    ...
LANSING, Mich. — Dozens of heavily armed militiamen crowded into the Michigan Statehouse last April to protest a stay-at-home order by the Democratic governor to slow the pandemic. Chanting and stomping their feet, they halted legislative business, tried to force their way onto the floor and brandished rifles from the gallery over lawmakers below.

Initially, Republican leaders had some misgivings about their new allies. “The optics weren’t good. Next time tell them not to bring guns,” complained Mike Shirkey, the state Senate majority leader, according to one of the protest organizers. But Michigan’s highest-ranking Republican came around after the planners threatened to return with weapons and “militia guys signing autographs and passing out blow-up AR-15s to the kiddies on the Capitol lawn.”

    That is a good thing.

We need people working behind the scenes to keep democracy alive.
We need to protect the Constitution from people like trump who want to become dictator. Who want to end the democratic process of electing our leaders.

    From the OP link:
    ...
“Every attempt to interfere with the proper outcome of the election was defeated,” says Ian Bassin, co-founder of Protect Democracy, a nonpartisan rule-of-law advocacy group. “But it’s massively important for the country to understand that it didn’t happen accidentally. The system didn’t work magically. Democracy is not self-executing.”
    ...

As the article clearly states. The system doesn't work magic. Work must go on to protect against the tyrannies like the trump dude wanted to impose. He is a very very dangerous man to our country.

And the OP and article articulate that very well.

Thanks for bringing this to light.

If trump was trying to protect the democratic process, why would I or anyone scream bloody murder.
    That makes absolute ZERO sense.
