As I stated in previous comments, being a minority does not necessarily mean that you will become oppressed and cannot speak up and defend your rights. Many secular states (not all) have shown that even the smallest minorities can be protected and can live prosperous lives. Jews will never be a small minority, and their control ever the economy will be evident from day one. That alone will ensure their political dominance. While I'd hate to see the majority being opressed by the minority, which will likely happen in this one state, I do believe it is a far better solution than staying divided and remain enemies for eternity.
Noooooooooooo, Your belief and the words of your Qur'an are the culprit... When between you all (Arabs + Muslims) you will reform your most sacred book... maybe or perhaps the world will have a chance to flourish. I also know when I say 'flourish' it means ALL except the Jews to you!!! Your Qur'an defines the Jews as descendants of Pigs and Monkeys. Before you come here with your 'benevolent stance'... go clean your backyard, then come here with pristine hands...
Perhaps when Israel stops starting wars that kill thousands and accomplish nothing over attacks that kill dozens, there can be peace... until then, I will continue to argue that your country should not have existed and is in fact a nation devoid of any care for humanitarian concerns or a wish for peace. It is truly disgusting. Israel must cede the Golan to Syria, and withdraw all settlers from the West Bank, Gaza, and Golan. I don't care why they haven't; their current actions are simply unethical and illegal.
History has shown, what happens to Jewish people in the Middle East, when they are a minority in one of these countries. Sure there can be positive changes and there are some. Jewish people can travel to Egypt or Jordan with risks of getting attacked being relatively low, I say relatively, because of incidents like the 2004 Sinai bombing.
Frankly, one could say the same thing about Jews in Europe. Do you really think that the events of Europe's past have much bearing on the welfare of the Jewish minority in all areas of Europe? I don't think so. The same goes for the Middle East... I would not like to be a Jew living in Syria, or Saudi Arabia, or Iran, but Jordan, Egypt, Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain? I've not heard of any evidence that violence in the former Mandate of Palestine would increase were the two states to unify as a secular state... instead of being suppressed by forces viewed as occupiers, Hamas and other Islamist militant groups (and Jewish militant groups, for that matter) would be suppressed by a dual-nationality, dual-religion secular government... their legitimacy would wane, they would lose recruits and soldiers to attrition and lack of relevancy.
You mean this part of the Qur'an? O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you and how I preferred you over all nations (Qur'an 2:47)?
If you are a Jew from a western country in Saudi Arabia, you would get all the good benefits the government gives to westerners you won't even come back to your own country.
I didn't specify a western-born Jew, I was referring to the native Jewish population, or whatever remains of it.
I noticed you are only interested to light fire while some people try to reach you in kindness, if you are never interested in discussing things here, You will learn nothing and you will influence no one. I really wonder, why do you bother coming here, why do you waste your time?
The only Jewish natives in the gulf states are in Bahrain, the Bahraini ambassador to the US is actually a Jewish woman.
Things work differently in the Middle East and Europe. Compromises are welcome in Europe, in the Middle East there can be easily seen as a sign of weakness of the other party and a victory of the own party.
People are people. If peace is to be achieved between Israel and the Arab world, it will take the elimination of the Jewish state; by this I do not mean deporting all Jews, but I sincerely believe that the maintenance of a Jewish state over a secular one which is Jewish and Arab in composition is simply running on a treadmill, costing thousands of human lives each decade.
Really? The question is, if Jewish people are even allowed to travel to Saudi Arabia. If there are Jewish people in Saudi Arabia at all, these are probably American soldiers. http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/arabs/saudiban.html
We don't have any American soldiers stationed in Saudi at this moment, as for Jews in Saudi, last year a Jewish professor won the King Faisal's prize in medicine, he came to Saudi to collect his prize with his Israeli wife. http://www.haaretz.com/jewish-world...es-first-jew-to-win-arab-nobel-prize-1.274192
I doubt, somebody gets Saudi citizenship without being Muslim. It is possible, that there are Jewish native people in Saudi Arabia, but they are Muslims then or they are Jewish and do no practize Jewish religion in public. This is Wikipedia and with a citation needed mark, so let's say, it's possible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Jews_in_the_Arabian_Peninsula
It's not the maintenance of a Jewish state over a secular one, which costs thousands of human lives in this conflict, it is radical Islamism. If they simply would leave Israel alone, thousands of human lives could be saved. Muslims can visit the Temple Mount, they can practize their religion, it doesn't make much of a difference to them, if they live in a Jewish state or a secular state, when it comes to religion. In fact, Israel is less restrictive about some topics like Muslim headscarves than some secular countries.
Saudi citizenship has one of the hardest rules, to get the citizenship you need to know Arabic very well, lived in Saudi for a long period of time, a Muslim, fully adopted the Saudi culture and its easier if you can benefit the nation with skills or knowledge that you have. As for Jews, the Jews left Madina in the 7th century when Omar dismissed them and asked them to move north to the holy lands.
I would agree, but do you have a viable means to eliminate the Islamist movement? I can't think of any. The best way I can see to making that movement weaker is creating a secular state in place of Israel and Palestine.
Really? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/64th_Air_Expeditionary_Group So there are exceptions to the rule?
There probably won't be many new citizens in Saudi Arabia, who immigrated, except for people, who come there by marriage or for scientifical, technical or business people. Some of them left, others stayed. There were Jewish communities in this region later. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histor...bia#History_and_travels_of_Benjamin_of_Tudela
ok then its my bad, I remember in 2003 they said all American troops are leaving the country to weaken Alqaeda in the kingdom. If Jews are unwelcome I doubt they would reward one in public, my cousin who studies in the petroleum university told me that one of his professors is Jewish, I honestly never met a Jew here as I never talked to a single westerner even though there are like 100,000 of them in my city but they never mix or even talk with the locals especially after 9/11.
Why should an Islamist movement stop fighting, when they get a secular state? This is not, what they want. Even Saudi Arabia has an Islamist movement, and they have Sharia law and dress codes and so in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia knows some viable means to eliminate the Islamist movement, Egypt, too, but if Israel would do it, human rights organizations would call Israel on it.
