On October 19, 2007, the U.S. Department of Education posted to the Federal Register the "Final Guidance on Maintaining, Collecting, and Reporting Racial and Ethnic Data to the U.S. Department of Education" to implement OMB’s 1997 Standards. The guidance issued by the Department covers two issues: 1) the collection of race and ethnicity data by institutions, and 2) the reporting of aggregate data to the Department.

For collecting race and ethnicity data, postsecondary institutions must use a two-question format as follows:

I actually majored in the health sciences. I've read a few biology books--anatomy and physiology, biology, cell biology, microbiology, hematology and many more. And yes, whiteness is a race. White people have haplotypes that specifically marks them as being European, and where in Europe they are from. For example, I am 98% European and my family comes from Ireland and Scotland, Eastern Europe, Italy, and interestingly from Nepal as I am 1% Nepalese.

Anyway, I actually think we are of different species, not just different races. All of us belong to the humanoid family, but then, according to taxonomic criteria, our family can be broken down into species. There are a least three different humanoid species in my opinion.

You could anonymously give a blood sample and your specific haplotypes would tell us where you and your family are from and to whom you are related.

The problem I see is the classifications are old sciences and they looked to divide humans into categories they observed yet they had not observed all peoples of the Earth nor could they do gene and DNA test.
