Let's not argue over whether the young man in this video was simply exercising his First Amendment right or not (remember that one, or do conservatives just start counting at two nowadays?). The larger issue here is Trump's response toward the end.

Strange, isn't it, how his first thought...because we all know that's the only one Trump ever has...is to lament the passage of the "old days?" I mean, he could have stated how he disagrees with the sentiment written on the t-shirt, but respects that young man's right to say it. He didn't. He could have taken the opportunity to, finally, speak out against racial hatred. He didn't. He could have even made a dumb joke about "kids today." He didn't.

Instead...it was something ridiculous about cops tearing people out of their seats in the "old days." You know what else rich white guys liked about "the old days?"

Well, see if you can figure that out.

 

Damn, this is really going to hurt Trump on Super Tuesday.
