No. The issue as I understand it is that some women see it as offensive as it can be taken that the man has more interest in masturbation that having sex with her, and it gets worse if pornography is involved.

 

then the woman has some hangups because its pretty damn evident that kind of thinking suggests somebody who doesn't understand human sexuality at all.

 

I'm really not seeing the issue with it. My wife and I have been together more than 35 years and have never discussed the issue. Maybe I'm just old fashion.

 

Personally, I have assumed it was good for health and satisfying a spouse.

I'm not an expert, but I assume it helps prevent rusty pipes(prostate issues)in old age and helps a man counter premature adjaculation.

therefore why you say you have a problem with what the bible might say about such could only be miss information. what a law or instruction don't say can be just as informative, but some use that to deceive others.

Meanwhile lighten up and remember God said in Genesis 9:7- "Go forth and multiply", and regard masturbation simply as keeping in practice and ensuring your plumbing is in good working order..

PS- 15 years ago my solicitor booked me in for a psychiatric analysis in connection with a vigilante rap I was facing; he was no doubt hoping the shrink would pronounce me nutty so that he could try to get me off on a "guilty but insane" plea, but to our amazement the shrink declared me sane!
One of the questions the psychiatrist asked me was "Do you masturbate?"; I blushed a little and mumbled "well ..er...yes now and again...doesn't everybody?" and that answer seemed to please him..

I'm arguing from a Christian perspective bc OP is Christian. Personally I couldn't care less, especially given I'm an atheistic nihilist.

 

How does that verse say masturbation is a sin?

Where does the bible say that masturbation is dishonoring marriage, impurifying the marriage bed, is sexually immoral, and makes one a whoremonger or adulterer? How is releasing your sperm cheating? What if you and your wife have different sex drives? You need to do a better job making the case that the bible says masturbation is wrong. Masturbation has existed since the beginning of time. Where does the bible directly address it?
