Maybe because, like any philosophy, what she says contains a kernel of truth.

It's only one perspective though, and I think we need at least a few of them to be able to arrive at the right conclusion.

Sort of like how radical feminism may contain a few valid criticisms, but if you become a radical feminist yourself you'll become stark crazy insane.

No, other people were there, observers from other countries, as is a common practice.

This sounds so unlike "I am no one in particular, just a fellow member of this forum who (as with most members) assume that you and I are here to express our opinions and to either share them or debate in their favour".

A tough talking Internet Swede, the only kind left.

And the problem is .... what? If you say black is white I'll tell you that you are wrong. Would you rather I correct you, agree with you, or ignore you?

It is important for you to criticize my nationality? There are no clouds in your sky. Ethnic orientation and racism are the foundation of unsubstantiated opinion and a befuddled mind.

Is it important to you to criticize the US and its President? Almost all Western Europeans, not just the cowardly Swedes, are quick to complain about the US but whine when the tables are turned.

When it comes to knowledge and wisdom of the world you are at a grave disadvantage.

We'll see if the EU is still so haughty after they import another 30 million migrants and become more like the U.S.

In many respects the U.S. is like a First World country existing in parallel with a Third World country, and so will Western Europe be, likely in the not too distant future.

That's only a minor issue. Europe is divided into NATO and non-NATO members. Those active NATO members (who have their lips embedded in the crack of U.S.A.'s buttocks) are responsible for the millions of Mid-East and African migrants in the first place. It is only fair they take the hoards of migrants into their countries because those countries have created the problem. But then we have Sweden that is not a NATO member and yet voluntarily takes more migrants (per capita) than any other nation.

Oh please, don't lay all the blame for the Middle East on the U.S.

Only 1 out 5 of the migrant wave was even coming from Syria anyway.

And Africa... how long will it be until we can't keep blaming the history of colonialism?

Yeah, mixing Socialism and migrants is like mixing alcohol with barbiturates.

If you care to mentioned (and/or discuss) the few situations in the Middle East that might not be the blame of the U.S. then be my guest. I do not have a problem with that.
Take a closer look at the map of the Middle East. It consists of a lot more than just Syria and it isn't only from Syria the migrants have evacuated.
You are feigning ignorance, yes? If anyone on this thread has blamed it all on historical "colonialism" alone then you should take that subject up with them.
Socialism? You have a rather narrow view of reality.

Meaningless drivel. People don't vote for candidates that are destroying their country and their lives. It simply doesn't happen. The election was rigged and whoever Maduro invited to "observe" could have saved the trip.

Meaningless drivel is the pap being advanced by Bolton, Trump, Pence, Pompeo and Abrams, pure propaganda.

And you're not well informed regarding the dynamics of the last Venezuelan election.

If everything is so damn "peaches and cream" in Venezuela, what's up with the streets and the FAES?

That's always puzzled me, how the nations of Europe could look over at the US during our civil rights struggles in the 60's and think, "I want some of that."

I think it was more like 'Oh my God! When are they going to grow up' and being totally amazed at your racism...which was hushed up for a few years ;)

...that could also be a legitimate response, yet the question remains, why would mostly homogeneous nations want to add fractious minority groups that will have difficulty assimilating and create social unrest?

Was it just to show the US how grown ups do it? If so, the jokes on you.

Britain has always taken people from all over the world and the same will be true of the rest of Europe. When we needed more workers after WW2, European countries moved to their colonies for workers. That obviously was a shift made due to the desire of our elite for a cheap workforce doing the less well liked jobs.

Whether people can integrate or not depends on the culture. As is said in this video White Supremacy is the DNA of American Culture but the racism is much more to do with economics and a way of stopping the wc gaining power. In times of plenty racism will be discouraged but it lean times it will be encouraged. In this way the elite keeps the wc fighting among itself, not seeing the real problem and coming together to change it.

It's probably not as peachy and creamy there as it is right here in the US of A, with our elected officials in serious competition as to which branch can best destroy constitutional governance.

I don't know if the snippet was yesterday but Trump was telling the Venezuelan Military that it wants them on its side but if they do not want that he is fine with destroying them. Of course given that the people and the military will not give their resources to the US by free will, Trump will out of necessity now be planning to destroy them so that he can get their oil for the US, gold, diamonds and nickle for Canada and so on. Europe is going to rue the day it agreed to back Trump on this. Looks like a significant break with Europe is very close now with Trumps plan to also attack Iran.

I'm going to make America's death prediction... since we're being morose about futures. Purely hypothetical of course and tongue in cheek

murderer: goody two shoes well meaning liberal completely clueless about how his glamorous world is built on the sweat, blood, misery and resources of other countries.
weapon: the undoing of all the evil that helps America stay on top

Goody Two Shoes Well Meaning Liberal (GTSWML) gets elected in a wave of good feelings and love for all, GTSWML decides it's time to change America's relationship with the rest of the world, to do the right thing and stop taking what doesn't belong to them. GTSWML takes action to allow other countries determine their own fate, vote whichever way they want to, trade with whomever they want to, abolish all sanctions, fair trading and no more market manipulation. No more assassinations or bribes to leaders from other countries...GTSWML also no longer support evil dictators even when they are on his side. GTSWML feels really good, now he can truly be a GTSWML.
Result: No more money to pay Private Contractors.... Private Contractors decide to invade Rome... I mean mines... the rise of a new Empire begins

You have to admit though, Fred, that our countries, yours and mine, are not what they used to be. We're both cursed with dysfunctional and stupid ruling classes.

    Ruling classes or ruling electorates?
Who voted moderates out of the US Congress?
You get the government you deserve, as the old saying goes.
