Statistics says I'm right. If Republicans supported black candidates, there would be Republican members of Congress. Republicans have elected a number of representatives. It's statistically unlikely, very unlikely, that not one of them would be black - and that so few are women. There are not - ergo, no support.
44 million black Americans in this country but not one black Republican Congress member. Statistically a highly unlikely scenario.
I have a question: why do people always quote only that one part of MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech but absolutely nothing else he's ever said in his life, even in the speech itself? I mean, surely with all the people who look up to him and like to quote him would know that he said a lot more than that, right? Also, when you say "stop seeing race and instead who someone are," what if the core part of that person's personality is them being racist? Some people are just naturally like that.
If that were true, then statistically there would be a small percentage of black Republican Representatives in Congress - just the law of averages. But Republicans have supported so few black candidates that it appears they very much do care about color.
