Because we are educated and not all just a bunch of malicious prick perhaps?

Go ahead, another atheist makes the challenge that his faith is not a faith.

Go ahead and prove there is no God.

the burden of proof is really not on me here, its not me making any outlandish claims, the burden is on those who believe to convince non-believers or be dismissed as lunatics, no offence but that is really the crux of it, you cannot possibly expect me or any other objective educated person to take your beliefs remotely seriously without hard evidence, which you are incapable of providing. I don't mean to offend its just the way it is, its 2012 man come on wake up.

Reported for flamebait. This question has no merit to it other than to incite theists.

incite theists to justify their beliefs perhaps, if you've ever met one who can do so adequately direct them to this thread cause I don't think they could possibly exist.

If you want to have a discussion with people, try to avoid calling them idiots first.

Yeah, it is. You claimed that believeing in God was so stupid that in this modern age NO ONE shoudl believe it.

    Back it up.

Oh, like every other atheist, you cannot? So in short, you are just another atheist enamored with arrogantly thinking he smarter than everyone based on ... his own arrogance?

No evidence = no supported conclusion. Pretty simple.

And why shoudl we take your cult serious with no hard evidence, and the active denial of thousands of years of evidence being presented? Right, we should not.

    Try justifying your own.

Interesting, after voting to support JUST these kinds of threads, after starting one of his own, he suddenly comes round to decideing these antics are flame bait?

Guess we needed weeks and weeks of name calling, innuendo, organized flame bait, and other silliness to arrive at that conlcusion, eh?

    Go figure.

I don't want to discuss it with them, my beliefs are set in stone and will never change, I believe in nothing, its the only logical thing to believe in, life means nothing, we are here for no reason, there is no creator, we have no soul and there is no life after death, I only want to hear someone else with a brain explain why they believe such incredible things.

Right, so based on no evidence whatsoever, and a clearly defined adamance to never change your mind no matter what (avoid evidence even if presented) ... well, now you know why we consider atheism a cult.

There is only the unevidenced opinion of an atheist that matters. All else is false and must be destroyed in a Crusade. Sounds like the atheism is attempting to bring back the Dark Ages?

If you don't want to discuss it with them, but only to ridicule, then you should simply leave. And no, wanting someone smart to explain their beliefs to you is not what you want, you want to ridicule. That is blatantly obvious since you are claiming that belief in a God is basically for the uneducated and undeveloped.

I didn't say it was stupid, I just asked why anyone would believe such things in a modern age when we have such a wealth of available information that contradicts virtually all of it, see how I am backing it up here, the world around you backs it up, its millions of years old that undermines religion right away, just blows it right out of the water how do you respond to that ? according to Christianity the earth is what 4500 years old or whatever ? Yet we know it to be many millions of years old so who should I believe the scientists with their facts and proof or people who just say so ? We have evidence, atheists are swimming in it every day, theists have only faith, and I'm sorry but your faith will never be good enough for me.

I have lots of evidence its everywhere, but I'm really just fishing I can't be bothered taking it much further, were your parents religious though ? A serious question would be, I don't care if yours were I assume they are, but I've never met anyone religious whose parents weren't, which is interesting surely.

Oh, and what information is that? Because this debate has been done a thousand times on this forum, and not once has an atheist managed to do anything other than lose.

Here is a snippet of one going on right now.

    Math: http://www.creationofuniverse.com/html/equilibrium03.html

THe short version is that there is a 1 in 1 with 123 zero chance that this universe was created by accident. A 1 in 1 with 50 zeros after it is considered statistically so improbable as to be impossible.

Atheists, like you, are currently rebutting with the multiverse, that there is a totally naturally occuing process that created 10^123 universes thereby making this ONE probable ... only there is no evidnece for this, and this natural universe creating process is also apparently absent, as is the energy source, etc. etc.

Occam's razor seems to indicate a mathematical probability that there is indeed a God, because the alternate explanation is utterly batty.

Well, we make a leap of faith to believe in ONE God.

Atheists? Make a leap of faith to believe that there are 10^123 invisible universes out there, using totally natural but equallu invisible processes that are totally accidental out there to DENY ONE God.

    Make perfect sense.

    Modern math = we win!

Sure you do - like all the other atheists do too ... only apparently you have to sign up for teh cult to be given this apparently secret information?

You see atheists, this is what organzied atheists does. Takes young and impressionable men, feeds them BS and tells them they are special. And then they go out in the real world armed with the unique 'specialness' where they quickly discover that they have been fed misinformation and basically just shat all over a bunch of people for no reason whatsoever.

What a fabulously wonderful process you atheists have created
