Trump's tweet inspired Pelosi, and the DP establishment to embrace the virulently anti-American squad. A perfect result for Trump and the otherwise hapless RP.

What have they said that is anti-American? Do parents hate their kids when they tell them that they can do better?

Now if you said that some of what the "squad" has said is stupid - I would not disagree. But being stupid is not anti-American. Unfortunately.

Trump';s tweet was racist, whether he is or not I do not know, Trump is a bully and says things to hurt people even if it's racist - Trump hates pretty much everyone except those that worship him

Trump says he is a whiner

I have seen no proof of that. They are ignorant freshman politicians, but you will have to come up with some direct quotes that prove to me they hate America. I'm waiting.

yip, i'm kinda bored with the whole racism thing being spouted every day, literally anything that happens to a non white individual seems to be labeled these days. Even when they make it up its dismissed. Crazy world.

Some of that "formative transformation" the last administration promoted. With the Left, it is ALWAYS about skin color.
Patriotic Americans, regardless of skin color, by the Left's defn. are "white nationalist" or "white supremist"

Just calling it racism and bigotry doe not automatically make it racism and bigotry.

I remember the tread on this forum a few years back where someone asked if people would let their son or daughter marry outside their own race. I was amazed at how many people said they would not allow it, but felt that it wasn't a racist act.
Again, rationalizing racism and bigotry doesn't make it any less racism and bigotry.

I was home early yesterday due to some AC issues that needed to be addressed, not much on so just to humor myself I turned on Fox news, I had to look up the channel because I never watch fox (or any cable news). It took me about 45 minutes to give up on the experiment of watching cable news talking heads, it only served to remind me why I routinely ignore them all and have ignored them for some time.

One theory presented actually made some sense, at least as an alternative to "he just was in a mood to pick a fight"

The theory: The "squad" was squabbling with Pelosi, so trump picked a fight with "the squad" in order to get the democratic party members to unite in their defense so that when "the squad" steps out of line he can lump them all together vs allowing the establishment dem's to disassociate themselves from the outlier progressives.

Its a stretch, I know, but the talking head worded it in such a way that it was at least a possibility, 4d chess kind of stuff.

Personally i'm going with the "picking a fight for no reason" theory, but i'll be honest, usually when I go with that idea, about 4 weeks later something happens and then I see that Trump was thinking 3 steps ahead, so I'm willing to watch and see if I was wrong, again.

Then you should have no problem with other people calling you out for the completely racist thing above that you posted. I would bet you would be blowing a gasket if Trump had tweeted "what some on the left really want...."to Make America Mexican Again".

I've read all about his strategic plan - to force the Dems to embrace the squad and, therefore, hurting their popularity in 2020.

What I really wanted to know is if they had said or done something specific to instigate the tweets. If there wasn't one, it goes to further the 'racism' case. Why did he choose 'those women' on 'that day'?

The underlying tragedy is that we on the Right have been called 'racists' and 'bigots' over and over and over for YEARS by the unctuous, self-righteous Left for so long that either we are completely INURED to it all, or, we're starting to wear it as a 'Badge of Pride'.

Imagine: if someone you grow to loathe and despise curses you as being something long enough -- with no VALID reason for it -- then it is almost inevitable that after a while it simply flows off like the proverbial "water off a duck's back'.

Afterthought: The hyperliberal American Left would do well to consider carefully who they call 'racists', and instead ask themselves, "Why do those on the Right think as they do...?"

[IMG]. "Dude, I wasn't, you know, I mean, like, born this way...." :cynic:

You pretty much just described what happened to black Americans who endured years of looking at right wing pundits saying their crime rates were high, therefor it was THEIR problem - telling some black dentist in Seattle that every murder in Chicago is HIS problem - just because he happens to be black.

Telling some American woman who lives in New Jersey that the problems in Puerto Rico are her problem to deal with, just because her parents came from Puerto Rico is a bit the same type of stupidity.

So, he can't control himself and you like that?

I asked you a serious question. He doesn't have to be a "blow-dried, scripted, focus group tested cardboard cutout" to have better control over what he does.
