But, the basic point is that yes, I absolutely do believe that Trump expressed his true beliefs during the campaign. I don't believe he could take on that persona and carry it through so consistently for more than a year. He's not that practiced at holding a direction.

So, yes, I don't see any possibility of him actually seeing women and minorities as being equal or deserving equality. I don't even believe he knows what policy that would lead to.

As such, I don't see any honest path for him to bring America together. He can SAY stuff, but since he does not believe it, it can't possibly be meaningfully carried out. And, that is especially true with the current congress.

It reminds me of when I was brought up feeling guilty because of the "starving children in Africa". What the heck was a little kid supposed to do about that? And honest media? I think they surrendered the principles of real journalism several years back. It's why Dan Rather quit, and why there are no men like Ted Koppel or Walter Cronkite anymore.
