These of course are market predictions, and not necessarily guaranteed. Some of these are only disappearing from the U.S. market. http://www.dailyfinance.com/2013/05...n-bb|dl7|sec1_lnk3&pLid=319923#!slide=5914133
None of those surprise me. I've also read Sears is (still) struggling to stay afloat. The WNBA has never made money, has it? It would surprise me if it has. IMO, some female sports (tennis, golf, beach volleyball!!) are worth watching occasionally, but from what I've seen the WNBA basically sucks.
Oddly enough, none of them really surprise. I'm only disappointed in Mitsubishi. I've been a long supporter of Mitsubishi. I've owned 3 cars from them (Lancer, Endeavor, & another Lancer). The one car, that always appealed to me, was their Lancer Evolution model. The last Lancer I got was a dumb down version of the vehicle. It drove great, I had no issues with it. I only had an issue with my first Lancer, where the steering wheel came out of the holding brackets. So, literally, the steering wheel was sitting on my lap while I was driving. The Endeavor, one of the engines pistons didn't start. So they had to swap the pistons around within the engine. Reliability is definitely a concern with that line. I think that's what is dooming them, the most. However, this is a sweet car and, if it's no longer warranted by Mitsubishi, all I have to say is 旧友親愛さようなら (Goodbye dear old friend)
I was going to say! Neither Volvo nor Mitsubishi are likely to disappear. Mitsubishi may leave the US market. I doubt that Volvo will. It sells a fair number of trucks, and stern drives for teh marine industry. It's cars are good, and the Chinese owners will want ot maintain a presence in teh US market. Besides, I want them to stick around long enough for me to buy one using their European delivery system!
I hope Volvo doesn't. They are an excellent car running well after 10 years!!! - - - Updated - - - One can only hope not.
