I don't believe your intended point is anything but a cloacked intent to concoct a no win senario to justify an anti gun narrative you have yet to articulate until you think you have properly stage it. Always that hidden agenda. So, why don't you save time and make your statement?
Frankly after listening to this snowflake and that he could shoot me dead if he so chose in an ambush, I'd just slap him silly and confiscate his firearm.
Straight from the NRA playbook: when you can't refute someone's argument then accuse them of having "a hidden agenda". Of course, you would like to derail the thread.
the more we see anti gun posters complain about the NRA, the more its obvious that the purpose of gun control is revenge against the NRA keeping, Gore, Kerry and now Hildabeast out of office, rather than trying to decrease violent crime
No I see through the smoke screen....and you response convinces me you have a hidden agenda. You have presented no arguement to refute. A thought experiment always has an objective thesis you have yet to offer, Just be honest and astound with the cleverness you want to release on the gun rights sub humans.
If you really wanted to have an advantage over criminals then you'd be pushing for stricter gun laws. As long as criminals find it easy to obtain guns it's a no-win situation for you.
No, we'd be pushing for anti-criminal laws. We're all for those but, of course, the left isn't interested in that.
Your side loves to pigeon-hole people. I'm all for anti-criminal laws. Strict gun laws are anti-criminal laws.
But you said you could kill us in a heartbeat if you wanted. I'm laughing so hard I can't stand it. You? You'd melt in freezing weather.
Great so I can put you down for supporting minimum 10 years for felons caught with firearms? Can we also put you down for mandatory +20 for crimes committed using weapons?
Who cares about revenge against the NRA? I want a safer America. You've created some kind of alternate reality inside your head.
Now see, was that so difficult? Why am I still alive? Having a gun has saved my life. It hasn't been a no win situation for me nor a few others posting here, or the many examples accumulating in the thread on successful gun defenses. My solution regarding criminals would be unpalatble to you and most liberals. I don't see guns as the problem, but criminals as the problem and I will never support the narrative that the way to stop criminals is to first disarm the law abiding; no gun rights advocate will and you can't show me one on this forum you have convinced. Your arguement isn't a no win situation for gun rights advocates, it's a no start discussion, DOA. The parakeet is dead.
I think 5 years for being caught with an illegal firearm is more reasonable (that's what the NFA mandates). Maybe ten years for crimes committed using firearms.
Guns make it easy to kill someone in a heartbeat. If I really wanted to commit murder then I'd much prefer a gun over any other weapon. Guns are ideal for that purpose.
Great. So which do you think is more effective. Actually start prosecuting the gun laws you have, or passing some gun laws that just stop people who aren't going to kill anyone anyway. Perhaps the problem is that the deterrent applied to criminals for having and or using firearms isn't really much of a deterrent eh?
Sorry, I reject your claim based on reality, if you want a safer America stop trying to disarm victims and stop trying to pretend that laws that only change the legal environment for honest gun owners is making anyone but violent thugs safer.
