I think most people were better off prior to the ACA than after. Although it benefited some. Gallup also backed up the numbers when they said 29% of Americans said the ACA has hurt them, 18% said the ACA benefited, the rest said it had no effect.

    https://news.gallup.com/poll/195383/americans-negative-positive-aca.aspx

Even so, most folks don't want to lose what they have if the choice is between keeping something that sucks to having nothing. Something that sucks is still better than nothing. There is no going back to pre-ACA system. Besides another huge change which turns people's world upside down is unwanted. My thoughts anyway.

interestingly, trump won by appealing to “blue collar” citizens that were the former base of democrats
Although he has governed by delivering to the long term base wealthy base of the gop

    1) The amount of deductible is not the same as cost of healthcare, but I would note that Trump is the President in 2019 and has been for three years. So if you are not happy with the current law - which he is charged with executing faithfully - then you should be demanding that he show us the "immediate replacement" that he promised.

    2) Some insurance companies and some hospitals got bigger and others got smaller or went out of business after a massive piece of legislation aimed at dramatically altering an $11 Trillion Dollar Industry got passed. That is not very shocking.

I am sure my daughter will be happy to hear that her new $9000 medical deductible is NOT part of her healthcare costs.
You trying to make a word salad out of the rising healthcare costs is comical.
Trump promised changes to healthcare costs. He had zero help from Republican asshat Paul Ryan and we all now know what help double asshat Pelosi is contributing. Little things like Trump trying to lower med costs by allowing states to purchase from Canada are met with little attention by the biased media.
So what do you propose or you just another of the complaining losers in the election of 2016?

I propose that the GOP Senate vote and Trump sign the Drug Pricing Bill passed by the House two weeks ago and the Suite of Healthcare Bills passed by the House in May which is aimed at shoring up the ACA and reducing other healthcare costs.

Trump has been on the lowering of drug prices since he was elected. Not having read the democrats bills, I cannot comment on what they contain.
Your complaint is with the senate, not President Trump.

The insult you used IMHO quickly puts your post in a category described by three letters that I cannot use because of past mod warnings.

I will say I remember Trump saying he would implement policy that would allow insurance to be sold across State lines, which hasn't happened. On the other hand, I could vote for one of your people who promises free stuff, including health insurance for illegals. Seems like an easy choice.

I don't know. He may have wanted to do a replacement for Obamacare and perhaps his people talked him out of it, Maybe he lied. At least he didn't do anything crazy.

    Hope as you will...
This was not the impression that he gave to voters....
I mean, if your idea is to get rid of Obama care without replacing it with anything.... that is pretty easy to say, is it not?

so then my question is.... was trump unable, or unwilling to say what he meant:. Cancelation of Obamacare without replacement

The Senate isn't hamstrung. They've got the bills passed by the House - over 100 of them. WH has nothing to do with it. Moscow Mitch has stopped ALL House bills, GOP sponsored, Dem sponsored, Bipartisan sponsored. The House has done its job Moscow Mitch has blocked everything. Got any more excuses?

Yeah it is they have an impeachment coming, ain't nothing gonna happen until we get through that and look how the House has been tied up and they STILL want MORE impeachment. McConnell can't block what has not been presented.

Did you miss everything I said? McConnell has blocked over 100 bills forwarded by the House. That is what a FACT looks like.

Most meaningless and until we get through this, until we know who is going to be President next month you can kiss passing meaningful legislation good-bye. You DO realize we could have a totally new President and White House next month because of what the Democrats are attempting to do.

Wow you must really have felt bad for the last economic idiot, although the left does enjoy a nice soak in a swamp of despair and stagnation ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

You think I can write a check for a $8,000 grand deductible?

I get a bigger kick from people of age still surprised at political bullshit, BOTH sides mind you! But I now see how so many pregnancy's have resulted because of a little promise like "I'll pull out, I swear to God"! Naivety seems to be not only for the young, but the mature as well ;)
