Well, who said anything about nuking them?

    - - - Updated - - -

Our military is the most powerful and mightiest military in the world, even without nukes.

Unless the threat to use the 7th fleet to "reduce China to cinders" is not an empty threat, then that is irrelevant.

We already went to war against the Chinese who withered in front of our artillery. We remain steadfast, the American flag snapping in the South Korean breeze ever since. Please. Truman doesn't keep MacArthur on a leash, China's government would more resemble Japan's.

I can offer some great reads.

The 7th Fleet's submarine force alone could reduce China to cinders. They know that. You know that. I know that.

And the war mongers live on

ps why have you just repeated your "reduce China to cinders" which I already replied too? Is it an empty threat? What event would trigger that to start?

Yep, Trump believes Russia good, China bad. Of course when China starts funding Trump Enterprises that may change. Bidding, bribery war anyone. Maybe when Trump enterprises get enough money from both we can go back to the war on terrorism since ISIS doesn't seem rich enough to bribe our future president.

Trump has gone quiet on ISIS. Not long ago all his supporters were slagging off Obama about his policies on ISIS, but now crickets

Yep those darned pesky Liberals seem to only be concerned with the wellbeing of the American people. Fortunatly the new swamp is solely concerned with the well being of the Oligarchy and won't have to be bothered with nonsense like healthcare and income inequality or pollution.

Trump hasn't even been sworn in. Obama is still the president.

Sure. First priorities of the new administration are repealing healthcare and implimenting major tax cuts for the rich and for corporations. Tell us again how that benefits the majority of Americans.

So he has no plans in place - ISIS not relevant anymore? I suppose he is too busy tweeting to think about the biggest terrorist threat. I can see it now. On his first day "right, what is my job?"

Yes but that is because Trump who knows way more than the generals has a double super secret plan for dealing with terrorism that will be revealed on the same day he releases his tax returns or perhaps the same day he reveals his promised secret knowledge of the Russian hacking.

But the pacifists and isolationists do not live on. You get that, right?

Why not crack your history book. It was called the Korean War and rather than the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Korean War was the post WWII reality that brought us closest to using nuclear weapons. And it was to prevent the annihilation of our forces in South Korea. Should China threaten US forces in South Korea, if it went further indeed than just mere threats, that would trigger a war, we would defend US forces and our ally.

    Any other questions?

Sanctions are not feasible. The economies of both nations rely too much on each other, it would be devastating. Not to mention cutting economic ties makes war more likely as you have less to lose.

What other recourse do you have? If Chinese ships start building islands your only option is to shoot bullets through their organs causing fatal hemorrhage and almost certainly a world war.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that this is not worth total war.

No . Don't get your point.

Again. What has that got to do with your point? You have not answered the question. What is your 7th fleet going to do to stop China building new islands?

Peas in a pod. Creating enemies abroad makes people ignore the corruption at home.

War mongers live on was your point. Pacifism and isolationism didn't live on was my point.

To steam right over them is what I'd do. Ignore repeated warnings, freely navigate past these islands, scrape the paint off a few Chinese hulls while you're passing by, deploy and display overwhelming military strength. Why?

Were you a Clinton supporter as I read that she was the one who wants wars?

Steam over what? An island? What happens if they fire back - will that be your cue to reduce China to cinders resulting in the China launching their missiles?. Anyway, it is good that you, being a Trump supporter, has highlighted another election promise fail if he follows your proposal. The United States, he said, has to “fix our own mess” before trying to alter the behavior of other nations.

When there is no evidence that he has ever possessed poisonous snakes and the box to contain the poisonous snakes hasn't even been constructed, yeah why not?

The missile design has NEVER BEEN TESTED. Ever. Its all theoretical. They have never once fired a ballistic missile at a moving naval target, let alone shown it can actually target and hit one.

I don't know the situation with the other issues that the US was involved in,
but I'm sure that if acted upon then the move is quite justifiable.

South China Sea is an international trade route,
China does not have the right to undermine the international commerce behind it.

    Spot on,
that mentality is already very ancient and will never receive acceptance if applied during this modern times.
