To watch Netanyahu speak gives me more pride in America than to watch Obama speak

Netanyahu is a dignified, honest grown-up. 'Nuff said.

Non-liberals, please discuss the pride element. I am interested to see if I'm the only one who thinks that Net's words make you feel prouder than Obama's words. It's probably because Net respects America more than Obama does.

I would write something original, but someone else said it better already.

I was further embarrassed for our nation when our President eschewed the chance to even watch the event and treated it as some inutile piece of puffery. When did we reach the point where one world leader can not even take a moment and lend their ear to a brief set of remarks on a critical topic from a fellow principal on the world stage, to say nothing of being willing to be generous in recognizing their remarks?

This poor showing was only amplified when Nancy Pelosi layered on insulting comments which served no purpose other than to be offensive. I’m not implying in any way that she had to agree with Benjamin Netanyahu and his position regarding Iran, but doesn’t he deserve better treatment than that simply by virtue of being a guest in our country, not to mention delivering such a heartfelt speech which was so gracious to all of America? It was a sad moment on an already depressing stage of US politicking.

he used our House chamber to film a free campaign ad.

Bibi is a real leader and a real man...a combat vet...a patriot...an unapologetic defender of his homeland.

Obama is a weak dripping sponge...a drug addict...a community agitator...a racist...a trouble maker...who criticizes and blames his homeland for the worlds problems.

 

His words were genuine and sincere. Its not his fault you are so anti Israel and anti freedom that you cannot accept that Israel does not want Iran to have a bomb.

 

LOL, it is common for Cons to respect leaders of other countries more than their own President, it is because they are such good Patriots. Nice campaign speech by Bibi, too bad he had no ideas or solutions, but that does not matter if it makes you "feel good", Cons are so easily played.

Nothing about obama makes me proud, just the opposite. Netanyahu certainly showed how a leader should speak, and showed up the Democrats and obama. But then again, every foreign leader has shown up obama.

In 20 years, the world will look back and see the destruction obama wrought, and all the people that voted for obama will lie and say they didn't vote for him.

 

You dont want a freedom loving (except for liberals) country of the USA defending another freedom loving country against common enemies? Some friend you are...

So was every leader in the history of the world that got things done. The difference is that Netanyahu isnt speaking about murdering millions of people. He is speaking about STOPPING the murder of millions of his own people.

No, Im really not. I wasnt born yesterday....I witnessed the hate for Israel from the radical liberal left. Criticizing them from blowing up schools....when the schools were where Hamas was hiding weapons. Criticizing Israel for killing civilians....when Israel would tell civilians exactly where they were bombing and Hamas forced the civilians to stay put. Oh and all of it was sparked by Hamas murdering Israelis in the first place.....but I didnt hear much criticism of Hamas from the left...all I heard was FREE FREE PALESTINE.

And when they chant that they mean free Palestine from Israel....not from Hamas.

The reality is, Iran is going to have one if it doesn't already have one. So Netanyahu's goal as Prime Minister of Israel is to come to terms with that fact, and how he can actually have better relations with Iran moving forward. This means his country will have to be front and center of the negotiations, if he doesn't like the terms presented.

If he can't come to terms with Iran, then it's his job as he said "to have Israel stand", why should America stand with Israel? He himself pointed out that we've disagreed many times on Israeli aggression in the region. Hell, with our prior stance of Self-Determinism, we didn't believe the U.N had the legitimacy to declare statehood, while creating what we now know to be the modern day crisis between Israelis and Arabs.

So, why should this be any different? Why should America fight a war or aid an "ally" entirely on religious ideals, rather than geopolitical interests. Is it in our interest to expand the flames of the Middle East? No, we want to extinguish the flames. Israel is not, and has not helped us in this area to extinguish the flames.

On the contrary, our alliance with this country is seen as "taking a side" in the religious-spiritual conflict between the two sides. This "alliance" has not deepened for America, it has only geopolitically sabotaged it. And only someone who sees America as an extension of Israel could say otherwise. Any fellow American Firster will agree with my assessment on the region.

Our neutrality from Israel can be the first start to truly getting somewhere in the region. To try to have the kind of respect and acknowledgment China has will allow us to get more credibility.
