Tories to bring England out of EU Human Rights

The ECHR seemed like a good idea at the time, now it has become a tightening rope around our necks, all part of the march towards a single state of Europe .. I see no reason why the UK could not draw up it's own bill of rights that allows our courts to make decisions on the security and safety of our nation.

I personally want to see the UK leave the EU and to see a devolving of central government powers akin to the USA model, let the counties who wish to do so run their own 'government', let them raise taxes and spend that money how they see fit in the best interest of the population.

 

I've got no problem with the EU and the ECHR. They can exist forever, as far as I'm concerned. I just don't think that Great Britain should be part of either.

The ECHR is just a criminals' charter. It's on the side of the villain rather than the law-abider.
