The U.S. Capitol Police are investigating threatening emails against Rep. Trey Gowdy, the South Carolina Republican recently tapped to lead a special panel probing the Benghazi terrorist attacks.

The investigation comes after POLITICO reporters and journalists at other outlets received two emails on Tuesday warning that Gowdy would be harmed because of his role in investigating the 2012 attacks.

The Capitol Police would not comment on the scope of the investigation but Officer Shennell Antrobus confirmed that there is “an active, open investigation.” ​

 

The current "invesigative" teapublicans already look like the Keystone Kops to any rational, sane and intelligent person.

Gowdy is asking the right questions.

The answers will reveal that the US Government was up to no good in Benghazi. Why else the
ClusterF*** of obfuscation on both the events of the attack and the story afterwards delivered
by the State Department and the White House ?

That is if the truth will be told.

Gowdy is just the kind of southerner I hate. I really wish the south would have won the civil war, then Gowdy would be too busy with his slaves on the tobacco plantation

But if you want to read a very insightfull accounting of slave history in the early-mid 1800's, it can be found in Eric Foner's book "The Fiery Trial", in case you haven't read it already.
