Do you think it's okay for him to cherry pick which traditions he will participate in?

He hasn't acknowledged and welcomed the Bidens.
He has not shown anything resembling remorse for the riot he incited on Jan. 6th, 2021.
He cannot bring himself to follow tradition and attend the Inauguration
and on and on.

But, he wants the a big send-off when he gets to be in the limelight.

 

Entitled doesn't mean legally required.

 

Just as much as any other president.

Neither does it mean that he is not entitled to it because of whatever he has done without a conviction.

 

I was entitled to a pony growing up.....never got one.

 

It hasn't happened in 152 years.

 

I bet there are lots of things that have not happened in 152 years. None any less relevant than that one.

No president who's been impeached has been charged by the Senate.
The last impeachment is the most BIPARTISAN impeachment in history.

The Senate hasn't held a hearing on the incitement charge, and to get 17 patriotic republican Senators is a large stretch, but it may be possible.

McConnell called tRUMPs fraud claims outright lies today. How many other's agree with McConnell?

 

A fact. 3 presidents have been impeached.
A fact, all 3, so far have been aquitted by the Senate. But there are still 3 impeached presidents in USA history.

And now, for the FIRST time in USA history, a president has been impeached 2 times. A FACT.
And the Senate hasn't held the hearing yet. A fact.

 

The issue is whether he is entitled to the same honors as any other president leaving office. He is because he has not been convicted of anything.

 

If he attends Biden's inauguration like a distinguished president would, sure.
But the baby won't and he deserves nothing. Just like he gave America.

It does not make any difference what you think or want or what I think or want. He is entitled to the same honors as any other president leaving office.

 

I don't care if he does it or not. He is essentially throwing a bday party for himself. It is actually a fitting way to end his presidency.

My opinion, your opinion and dairyair's opinion don't make any difference. Like it, love it or hate it, it changes nothing. He is still entitled to all honors given to any other president.

Actually I love it that the left hates it.

 

He will be convicted by a majority of the Senate, that's a slam dunk. McConnell claims he will decide after hearing the arguments (like he really needs to be convinced). Any advance inclination that this turd will vote in favor of conviction will bring in a few more votes from some monkey see monkey do Senators and that might add up to the required 67 votes. Either way, it will not amount to an acquittal if more than 50% vote for conviction. And the testimony and outcome can and will be used in the courtroom. I'm guessing there are at least a couple of Attorneys General salivating over this.

I LOVE it that the trump folk hate that he got tossed out as an incumbent and impeached 2X.

 

It does not bother me that much. I said a long time ago, than the democrats would be upset more not removing him by impeaching him than I would for him to be impeached.

The world goes on. Maybe someday, the left will learn that, but I really doubt it.
