Good, good, you should. Now, stay home, do not go out, eat plenty of carrots, drink plenty of water and follow Government instructions. If you do, I promise you'll be alright.

In part, I blame Congress's inactivity and inability to work with the President during his term. It's seriously a problem(and it's a problem Obama faced to be fair.) Our Congress is the worst part of our government, if we're being serious about our country's issues.

If Trump is smart, he'll point finger to where this **** came from, to China. Is Trump any good assigning the blame?

    Think about :)

It's worth noting that Trump had a Republican-controlled Senate and a Republican-controlled House for his first two years, during which time he failed to fulfill his promises to "immediately" repeal 'ObamaCare', replace it with "something terrific!" that covers "everybody!" at "less cost!" (In fact, cost has continued to rise, and there are millions more uninsured,) build his "big, beautiful wall!", rebuilt the nation's crumbling infrastructure, withdraw all troops from Afghanistan, and reduce the national debt. (In fact, he has caused it to soar to astronomical heights.)

Is the answer surrendering even more power to presidents?

    Oh don't sell Trump short.

His inability to inspire confidence and years of lying also had an impact.

I never asked you to condemn trump for being orange.

I asked you to condemn trump because 3x as many Americans died, last year, as the outbreak for which you are now condemning Obama.

You literally used a model to argue that the mortality rate is much lower, but a model from the CDC that shows the likely number of dead is absurd to you?

It just might be(again: See Obama.) I'm absolutely pissed off at this worthless institution, wherein Nancy Pelosi is speaker of the House and for those who blame Mitch McConnell, feel free to do that and I can concur and also give you Harry Reid. This institution is broken beyond repair.

I do await an infrastructure bill for the President, they were in the middle of negotiating one before Nancy Pelosi stormed off like a child with a temper tantrum. I'll also blame the President in that he released a preliminary health care plan during the campaign that modeled quite a few things I wanted to do if I had the ability to be elected, but he didn't suggest that on the legislative level and what he did with across-state-lines with executive orders, didn't go far enough.

He has however withdrawn forces from Afghanistan(just deserved. In fact, he's our most peaceful president in quite some time.)

And no, he didn't cause the debt to rise to astronomical heights, CONGRESS did.

Democracy is the noose that's tightening around our neck. I'm pro Empire and always will be.

Ah yes, the virus. The virus is peculiar in the sense that the situation we have today does not represent the situation we will have in 14 days or in 28 days. It's impossible to predict. You'll agree with that.

Now, Trump administration is overplaying the situation today in order to minimize problems we will have in 14 and 28 days. Whats wrong with that?

You can imagine that Trump is impotent in calling for legislation from Congressional members of his party that habitually kowtow to him, seek refuge by reminiscing about prior administrations, and transfer all blame in a hyper-partisan snit if you wish.

Credit Congress for 10+ years of an expanding economy if you need to.

Trump has been whining that all US troops be withdrawn from Afghanistan for many years, and he still has them there.
Most Americans, consistently and relentlessly, register their opinion that he stinks, and his mot abject apologists are not about to change that verdict.

So the Republicans Right Thing To Do in the current situation is to NOT plan for more cases and deaths in a disease that is expanding every day, that the best and experienced virologists say they expect a huge increase in cases, in China and other countries had and have huge increases of cases, BECAUSE its "Impossible to Predict"!!!

Yeah, well, when it raining like hell and the weather reports predict another 28 days of rain (and probably more), I am not going to plan a picnic, sell my umbrella to get my girl a sun dress, and get a 2 seat convertible as an investment.

It just might be bad weather rising!

    My sceptical friend,

If you re-read my post, you will notice that I'said "Trump administration is overplaying the situation today in order to minimize problems we will have in 14 and 28 days" Meaning, they do every ****ing possible thing to predict and overcome unknown problems we'll be facing 14 days from now.

You have a problem with that?

Of course you do. TRUMP!!! :frustrated:

Coming from the mouth of an eloquent enlightened unapologetic Progressive Liberal Democrat such as yourself, three and a half Democrats such as yourself translates into the most Americans? Speak for yourself and three and a half of your likeminded friend! :D

One of the best ways to predict and overcome problems 14 days from now would haven to NOT have sold and shut down pandemic preparedness 2 years ago.

Infective illnesses always come. To think about "Gee, what can we do to make things OK in 2 weeks from now?" is what a 10 year old child would think after he had eaten all his stocks from his Halloween candy the day before, which had given to him by his older and wiser brother!

    BesidesE

Everything Trump is doing is exactly what the Chinese had finally had done almost 2 months ago. But until last week, Trump had said everything was fine, he was handled it all and the illness isn't coming and go buy stock and party!

Just like a 10 year old.

I'm not surprised that you are upset by the consistent, relentless public verdict on Fake Don.

Rather than sniveling about it, if you have an alternate integration of all major surveys that is kinder to Fake Don, you need only post a link to it.

He was a bit occupied the first two years fending off a Deep State coup attempt. The wall is coming along, and troops are coming home. What do you imagine Trump did to cause our dept to soar? Do you know what entitlements are?

Sen Graham made a good point today, who do you trust more to rebuild the economy after this is all over?

There is nothing Trump could have done to prevent this from coming here, thank goodness he ignored the LW and restricted China travel in January.

Certainly in the ballpark of the community organizer, whose approval ratings were artificially inflated by constant corrupt media adulation.

Apparently the drop at the end of day really started when Trump said he expected the situation might last until July or even later.

Trump also responded to the question of whether he believes that we will enter a recession by saying, "We might." For a guy who, during that same press conference, rated his response to the virus a 10/10, that is akin to a promise that we are going to enter a recession.

    Got that right, Ark

Looks like trump is gunna keep that 120-year republican streak of economic incompetence and failure intact...

… Every Republican president since Teddy Roosevelt in the early 1900's endured a recession in their first term, according to an analysis from Sam Stovall, chief investment strategist at stock research firm CFRA. ...

Yup. Cry Baby Don was swatting at that evil Dr Fauci on his back whenever he wasn't ordering his goons conduct "drug deals" in Ukraine..

    Attempted, desperate diversion noted.

Blind faith in the P*ssy Grabber induces such crackpot delusions that require no evidence, whatever.

Most American have disapproved of Fake Don, consistently and relentlessly, and there is no credible data that suggests otherwise.

I don't remember a bear market in Obama's economy, do you?
I don't remember 3% gdp growth in Obama's economy, do you? I also don't remember 3% gdp growth in tRUMPs economy, do you?

But now it is going down. Bear market. Recession likely coming. Tax cuts are great.

Perhaps the R Senate should have kicked out our impeached president. Things likely would be not as bad.
As real leaders prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
But this impeached president, lies and points fingers and tells people this is just another hoax.
But to those who would not care if he shot someone in the middle of 5th Ave, It's still better than Obama's economy, to them.
