The military...is composed of federal employees just like the border patrol and the “ swat style” teams of the border patrol.

The difference between cops and soldiers is their training and their mission. Swat team style missions are closer to that of a soldier during war. Soldiers in this day and age are also like police in their mission in most deployments whether it be here of overseas.

Its a distinction without a difference. It’s designed to intimidate. If it were practical, the government would be working through other channels like illegal employment and the courts instead of at the end of a gun. Trump is a bully...that’s why he employs these methods....just like any dictator.

Are illegals really civilians? Police bust down doors of citizens all the time assuming they have reason to do so and a warrant. Although since illegals aren’t citizens I don’t believe they deserve the same rights so I really couldn’t
care less. In the case of illegals, what’s the problem with police doing their jobs and arresting people breaking our laws? That’s why we have borders. And if illegals don’t want to be “harassed” by police there is a simple solution. Go home.

And BTW, IMHO, SWAT teams and door busters and running through anyone's home screaming at them and pointing guns at them has always been over-the-top and only slightly necessary in extreme circumstances. Using these military tactics against unarmed civilians whose only crime is being here without papers is unprecedented, unecessary, and should not be allowed under any circumstances. This is being done out of fear-based hatred, as proven by so many of the posts on this thread who approve of it.
