I used to work in this beautiful small town that had five factories. They had a large middle class and a vibrant civic life. Now the factories are closed and the down needs a coat of paint.

 

The main problem of our poor is obesity.

Yes, and its not just the case here, in fact europe is quickly becoming fat, and Mexico is the fattest on earth.

Starvation does not exist in the US (outside of medical/mental disorders).

The tax cuts are generating more personal income taxes, and stimulating our great economy. How about we reduce spending, like normal Americans do?

 

Yeah.. China and elsewhere. Trump's daughter manufactures overseas.

 

And welfare alone won't even cover basic living expenses if you're young and able. Even people, like my brother, who had a work related disability wasn't able to live on welfare without using food banks and me and my mother sending him extra cash. Now that he's 65 and able to collect his federal and provincial pensions he's getting about 3x per month what the welfare gave him.

 

LOL, work requirements are not the same thing.

There will be more than 1 person involved when things go bad. Tens of millions of Americans will become unemployed. It will affect billions of people around the world. Most Americans don't have $500 available in ready cash.

Amazing, isn't it? I would call that poor life choices in part, too much spending and not enough saving will do that. There will be riots when the government cheese runs out someday that they think they have some kind of right to.

 

If this is true I don't have much problem with it. However, I would like to see the fine print, if you know what I mean. Forgive me for not taking this "spokeswoman's" word for it.
