Yes, I am serious and no, I didn't see rudeness in the actor making a statement. Being criticized comes with the job Pence was just elected to do. The actor very politely pointed out that the play Pence just watched was performed by people that do not agree with many of the things the Trump/Pence campaign said. It's not like someone in the Senate shouted, "You lie," at him while he was making a speech on television. He was asking Pence to think about those that didn't vote for him as much as for those that did, because Pence and Trump represent us all now. We'll either unite as a country or we won't, but either way, that actor has a right to think what he wants and say what he wants, as long as he doesn't break the law. You either believe in freedom of speech or you don't. I do. If we don't discuss our differences, we will never find any common ground. Half the country isn't going to sit down and shut up for Trump's entire term in office any more than half of the country sat down and shut up for Obama's term in office.

Perhaps the marquee and the tickets should be changed to read "Dumbass liberal conference". Everyone in the audience deserves a refund, in cash.

He should have known better than to go to a play that claims to celebrate diversity by eliminating whites from our founding story

Trump as the new leader in our Country has to act quickly to
nip this in the Bud,right quick.
before any more smart asses think it's ok.
It is the height of disrespect and sophomoric taunts.
What one would expect in Old England in Street Theatre.

Be honest about what it was. A bigoted false and narcissistic racist statement in a theatre. Are you honestly going to sit there and pretend if this had happened to Obama you would have been fine with it?

He was there to watch a theatre performance not to be accused of being a racist by an ignorant fool.

there is nothing polite about being called a racist no matter how you try and dress it up. That narcesstic bigoted idiot accused the new vice president of being a racist without citing a single fact to back himself up. And no you are incorrect when you claim he only asked Pence to think about it. He flat out accused him 9f bring a racist in a theatre not a debate floor. you can't complain about Obama being called a liar and exude this accusation no matter how much you agree with it.

Pence should have known better than to go to a play about Freedom and Liberty because he believes in neither.

“Tonight, libs booed Pence at ‘Hamilton.’ Tonight, HRC sits alone, drinking, blaming men, and sobbing. We win.”

You know, I never did quite 'get' how other people thought of the word deserving. It seems like other people think 'Oh, this person did something bad, not they 'deserve' to have something bad happen to them', whereas I mostly think 'Oh, this person did something that caused suffering/death/did something without consent, people in general shouldn't suffer/die/have things done to them without consent, let's minimize their ability to induce suffering/etc. while also minimizing their suffering/etc,'. Just a tangent.

Also, he wanted federal tax dollars to be spent towards 'conversion therapy' programs for gay people, opposed hate crime laws applying to LGBT people in specific (I can see the argument for not having hate crime laws at all, but having them apply to, say, Asians, and not to LGBT people really isn't justifiable), opposed gay marriage and civil unions, opposed 'don't ask don't tell' being repealed, and wanted conversion therapy programs to be federally sponsored. He also opposed sex-ed classes teaching about condoms, said that 'smoking doesn't kill' and shouldn't be regulated, opposed birthright citizenship (stating that anyone born in the United States is a US citizen and set forth by the fourteenth amendment) and sponsored the Indiana Religious Freedom law, which, with a little stretching, would have allowed for whites only restaurants and colored bathrooms.

To be honest, he sort of offends me on just about every issue other than race.

They couldn't win in the real world so they try to humiliate Mike Pence, a paying customer to their little show (unless they comped him the tickets in order to ambush him there. This is typical of their childish behavior: If you can't win a fair election put on your make-up and wigs and costumes and pretend like that makes you smarter than everyone else.

They didn't eliminate whites from the story, they replaced them with actors who are black.....at least they didn't use white face like white actors did when blacks couldn't get jobs in the theater ( a time I'm sure you'll deny).

Bye , I heartily approve of what these incredibly successful talented people did....becoming an actor doesn't remove your right to free speech. :)

For the record, Alexander Hamilton was an immigration hawk who endorsed the Alien and Sedition Acts and wanted to deport troublemakers.

Their "little show" ? (One of the biggest hits on Broadway ever):) Oh, the sour grapes...

..I saw nothing in their speech that should've humiliated Pence....unless he's against freedom of speech and liberty....

Yes. he and trump won the election, they didn't win a dictatorship and we still have free speech even if down the line trump hires hitmen to take them out...I mean , he IS vindictive and doesn't believe he should ever be criticized... I guess that's what you want for the next 4 years ???

No, he had "poppa" to stand up for him.....:)

A classless act by the cast, but Pence dismissed it like water off a duck's back.

I'm of the belief that political figures will always be subject to criticism. When stepping into a public arena they are open to decent. It's always been this way. I seem to remember an event where the current President was speaking to congress where a man yelled loudly, "You lie"

IMO, it's time for Mr Trump to have a thick skin transplant and prepare to govern this country. A demand for an apology for this situation is ludicrous and a waste of time.

The only thing missing from the Hamilton the Play vs. Pence the VP dust up was Bruce Springsteen finishing the evening off with a rousing rendition of Born in the USA. That is if Bruce has recovered enough from election night to perform live.

Absolutely! This is not a dictatorship or a monarchy but a democratic republic and we all have the right of free speech. What the crew said was not an insult but they may not have chosen the get time to give their speech but they seemed to have done so with respect.

Trump who spent six months say that Hillary was a criminal and lock her up and all sorts of nonsense has no room to talk about insults.

Trump should apologize to President Obama for telling a lie about where President ZObama was born. Trump is the POS who insults people Trump should apologize but of course he will not.

This is all part of the low class leftest personality cult that has infested our schools and government and why " drain the swamp" was so appropriate. Keep it up liberals, keep rioting and acting like spoiled children, cement Trump's support into an immovable foundation set in stone
