Flu doesn't cause long term health issues like covid-19 does and apparently kids are susceptible to those. Perhaps they won't die but their quality of life can be damaged as well as high, previous condition, health insurance premiums.

We hope that's what he meant. If his followup explanation includes Wonder Woman kicking Kaiser Ass we'll know for sure.

Why do journalists NEVER ask a follow up question when Trump says something totally stupid again?
Not to joke around but to expose Trumps infinite stupidity to the fullest.
You really wanna know how stupid Trump is? Let him open his big mouth and we'll find out.
We all know he likes to talk.

He might tell you a story about how the Nazi's invaded France in 1917... Or something else that you cannot believe he thinks is true.

Sadly, no journalist ever goes for the kill. Or has not done so, as far as I am aware.
And there have been so many opportunities to ridicule Trump into oblivion. Once and for all END his political believability, if there is any left.
The airports in 1812 come to mind.

I think MSM journalists continue to let Trump of the hook.
His stupidity needs to be xposed for what it is. No mercy.

Well of course World War I and World War II are practically the same thing and they were each separated by just a few decades, so it is an easy mistake to make.

But you know, we don't need to talk about this event from less than 24 hours ago because JUSSIE SMOLLETT

It is one of the brilliant and yet simplistic reasons why the Axios interview was such a goldmine of a trainwreck.

The interviewer asked very straight forward and easy follow up questions.

We don’t know what long term issues Covid causes because the virus has not been around long enough to know. “Could” have long term consequences are empty threats designed to cause fear because those saying them don’t have to account for being wrong. If there are no long term effects nobody will care. And if there are, then those that make the claim can get “credit” It’s an easy prediction when there is NO PENALTY for being wrong. Zero accountability. Doctors don’t have to account for the economic destruction their opinions can have and that’s a problem.

Yep, there will be attempts to get all the World Wars renamed now, as Trump understands them.

The Civil War will know be known as World War 1 (Hey, there were some English observers around)
    WW1 will now be WW2
WW2 will now be the Great War for Racial Purity
The Korean War will now be the China Flu Invasion
Vietnam will now be the Bonespur Conflict

Joe makes verbal gaffes... Trump is just rock dumb...

    No contest..

We have plenty of evidence that there are long term consequences to this virus because there are literally millions of cases where people experienced effects long after they tested negative.

And your argument regarding consequences is really upside down. The people right now saying that we shouldn't worry about long term effects will not care or be held accountable if, inevitably, this virus proves to have long term effects. Meanwhile, the people who warned about the potential likelihood of long term effects will not be vindicated or rewarded in any way.

I have heard reporters try to ask follow up questions and Trump attacks them on a personal level....to try to hide his stupidity when all that does is expose his cowardice and stupidity all the more.

How did we get to COVID in a discussion of how dumb Trump is?

    Oh... that's right.

I think the next couple of weeks will be a very interesting COVID test in America, with the GIANT petri-dish known as Sturgis going on...

If you somehow WANTED to spread a communicable disease throughout the country, can you think of a better opportunity?

Much like an "I voted" sticker, I think all attendees should be required to wear a "Sturgis 2020" sticker, so people can avoid them (more than normal) in the upcoming weeks...

At one point thalidomide might have side effects. There is precedence for these effects being long term or even permanent. Would you want to be the guinea pig to find out? Maybe offer up your kids? We know there are residual effects well after the virus is done, even with symptom less people. Until we know for sure prudence is the word of the day.

Because when they do he either ignores them or walks out. No point in trying anymore.
But to be fair, he hasn't walked out on a follow up to a lie since, hmmm, thinking back, oh yeah, yesterday.

If people haven't seen, here's the latest Trump ploy

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-says-considering-great-battlefield-210712616.html

Gettysburg!!... site of the most important battlefields of the American Revolutionary War of 1659....

Where Wilt Lawrence Chamberlain made his famous AK47 charge down the Little Hill to be able to encircle the airport....

LOL... there are unlimited deals in Trump Casino America

Don't worry, nobody has forgotten the pandemic deaths, ruined economy, closed schools or massively unemployed...

Perhaps the best way to fix some of that is by pointing out the qualifications of the incumbent?

It’s about being accurate. You can’t say Covid causes long term issues when there hasnt been anything long term To make such a statement. Maybe? Could? Possibly? FL was supposed to be underwater right now. I still don’t have anything resembling beach front property:) Those scientists were completely wrong, but none of them have been held accountable. Their predictions have been as accurate as a monkey throwing darts at a board.

Florida and Texas were the roll models for opening up back in April and May, how did Trump put it, oh yeah, "tremendous job they were doing". How's that working out for them? Prudence is supposed to be associated with conservatives but reckless wild abandon seems more accurate.

You folks are busy trotting out imaginary claims regarding Biden's mental acuity issues and then simultaneously dismiss video proof of Trump's mental decline.

Sea levels are definitely still rising.

But again, we know that Covid has long term health consequences because there are literally millions of people still suffering those long term consequences after they are no longer testing positive with the virus.

Trump's lack of fact checking and using teleprompters is not the same as Joe Biden sounding like someone who just woke up out of a coma and doesn't know where they are. I'll admit Trump's problem if you can admit Joe's lack of brains. and don't get me started on Joe's racism.

You do not care about Joe's "racism," even if you had proof of it.

And I dare you to find a single example of Joe Biden "sounding like someone who just woke up out of a coma and doesn't know where they are" from the past week that even comes remotely close to Trump's failure to remember the pandemic of 1918 or the name of the first world war.
