I don't believe you said that. "Look out Irak! Prepare for another invasion! The CIA says you still have thousands upon thousands of WMD's and the President is on their side!"

I'm not sure why you're ignoring the realities of diplomacy and the position Russia holds in world politics.

Perhaps that is why some people would make lousy diplomats, given the distasteful way the protocols of such must be carried out.

Personally, I would make a lousy diplomat, and for that matter politician. Wars have been waged throughout history because some World leader felt disrespected.

Seems to me that premeditated war-making has often been falsely motivated by feigning disrespect.

No doubt true in many cases.

As such the distasteful protocols of diplomacy dictate congratulations be offered despite a lack of desire to actually do so.

Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer....

Probably less than the $millions Putin had to pay The Clintons for our uranium.

I have a feeling that Donny & Vlado respect each other very well and understand one another better than Siegfried and Roy.

I know that, but I'm just not convinced that congratulating someone on winning an election is a significant part of keeping your enemies close.

Obviously the intel community is not failure free but it does way more good than harm and so it should be the default of a President to trust it. And let's not forget that the intelligence was misused to justify the Iraq war.

What you call "failure" I call "intentional lies". Ever since 'Operation TP Ajax' the CIA has been in the business of dirty tricks such as clandestine political coups and assassinations. They do not gather information but plant fake evidence. Saddam did not allow the first UN inspection team to carry out their mission because he said it was saturated with CIA spies sent (presumably) to plant fake evidence. The UN looked into it and found that Saddam was right. That is why the second team with Hans Blix was sent in ..... without CIA agents. They found no WMD's but the US invaded anyway, illegally. Look, here's the main thing: You see the American "intel community" as being vulnerable to mistakes but honest. I see them as the opposite. In fact, the only ones who are positively impressed with the CIA are the American people. As soon as the rest of the world hears "according to CIA sources ... " we think, "Oh shyt! More lies!" If you tally up the list of dirty deeds vs. good ones you will find that the American intel services are not "the good guys".

Probably why you are not a diplomat, or the President of the United States. I don't do ass kissing very well myself.

Is the CIA the only agency in the intelligence community? You seem to be under that impression.

No, I don't think it is the only agency but it's true I don't know everything there is to know about it. So tell me, who is whispering in Trump's ear about the Russians, the Russians, the Russians. But don't forget we are trying to find reputable sources, not "more of the same".

Is that a question? If so, I'm not sure "who" you mean.

I'm not sure what you mean. Who is "we?" And "more of the same" of what?

I guess it's only me, not "we". I was interested in the other intel agencies and I thought maybe you would tell me. Never mind. Forget it.
