Of course, Trump could end all debate on the topic. But that isn’t going to happen.

HE pushed it. HE pressured the Dem controlled House and Dem controlled Senate to pass it.
    HE made it happen.
HE claimed the "tax cut for the rich" was a major benefit - a "major victory" to the middle class.
Thus, your claim that "Barack Obama did not push a tax bill." is demonstrably false.

It's not the same, we presume innocence because......1) In the US we are innocent until proven guilty. 2) The IRS hasn't proven him guilty of anything regarding his tax returns. Why on earth should he turn over his tax returns when the IRS is OK with them and he doesn't have to? So a pack of hyena's on the left can pour over them and take every deduction out of context? Find some other non-issue to obsess over.

Did he do something illegal? I don't know, I'm not a tax attorney.

Did he misrepresent himself to millions of people because he was playing the TV character from his show? Absolutely.

Has he made himself a hypocrite for attacking others about their tax burdens when he himself paid less than the people he attacked have? Absolutely, though he was already a hypocrite.

Did he lie to the America people, again? Absolutely, but his diehard supporters don't care. Hopefully enough of his soft supporters and undecideds do.

Sorry dude - but the President's (and candidates) tax returns have been open fodder for decades now. Most candidates just supply them cause
they have nothing to hide. Trump's a dishonest dick, so he hides them. End of story.

This was McConnell’s scheme from beginning to end.

The Obama White House wound up selling it because the GOP was fully prepared to crash the economy to get its way.

That Obama had to sell something the US didn’t want or need in order to keep the GOP from driving the country into a depression only means that there was an adult in the room.

A year later, they tried to crash the world economy.

And now, their fuhrer is presiding over the most massive failure to address a crisis in American history.

Enjoy your legacy. You voted for all of it.

Keep in mind, Trump pays taxes on his earnings, or what he pays himself. This doesn't include how much money the Trump business organizations pay in various business taxes and fees. If your business makes a billion dollars in a year, you don't have to pay taxes on a billion dollars. That billion dollar is an asset of your business. You pay taxes on whatever salary you pay yourself out of that profit.

WTF are you talking about. If your BUSINESS shows a profit, it (you) pay taxes on that profit.

If you pay yourself a salary that's a tax offset for the company and YOU pay taxes on it individually

I know. That is what I am saying. We are in total agreement. Trump pays personal income taxes on money he has paid himself, and his businesses also pay taxes. He has a lot of businesses. They should add them all up and put that number out.

Accept that he paid no personal income tax.

The IRS left no businesses out... unless Trump committed another crime. Is that your claim?

Personally I am against personal income taxes. I'm fine with anyone avoiding it to the full extent of the law.

I didn't make any claim of a criminal act (strawman fallacy).

So yes, i would be fine with it if he paid no income taxes. What I'm not fine with is getting millions and billions out of China, Russia, Ukraine, Iraq and Kazakhstan and other nations and laundering it through your relatives like your sister, brother and son.

It is, however, a nice propaganda turd that the leftist-loyal media outlets are fondling with one hand while clutching their pearls with the other. The biggest problem, though, is that ONLY the inner core of the already Trump-hating party members actually give a damn about the man's taxes . . . one way or the other.

Since the IRS audited Trump we actually CAN be sure that Trump and his CPAs rigorously adhered to the tax laws.

It was fake at least to the extent that it claimed Trump paid nothing in. Then it turns out that what the NYT did not tell the nation in its political hit piece was that Trump always pays millions quarterly throughout the year. That's money that he cannot use because it is being held by the government until when or IF they deign to return it to him at the end of the year.

I don't think you understand what's at stake here.

Of course, to the vast majority of voters, Trump looks like a President who tries by all means to avoid paying taxes in the country he leads.

But there is something more serious.

Trump defrauded the IRS by receiving a $72 million tax return to which he was not entitled.

If convicted, in addition to having to pay back what he received plus $29 million in penalties, he could face jail time.

At that point, he's really going to need the financial support of all Trumpists to get through it.

That shouldn't cause you any moral problems since Trump already uses campaign donations to pay his lawyers.

    "If convicted"?
If you're right, why hasn't he been convicted?

Because he's still President and it's highly political.

We'll talk about it again in February.

    It's going to hurt.

Ok...why wasn't he convicted BEFORE he became President?
When did this supposed fraud take place?
    Do you have a citation?

Okay, so you say the right doesn't know tax codes. But you do? And if the NYT has released those documents illegally, why aren't they being punished?

By February, the new conservative Supreme Court will be installed and the usual migration begins for outgoing and incoming personnel, common to all second administrations. With luck more Deep State apparatchiks will be revealed and ousted. And Trump will rev up the rhetoric, because HE WON. He's going to spike the ball. Ooo-fracking-RAH.

Spike the ball? Isn't that an admission he will violate the sacred trust of acting for the benefit of all Americans, not just his supporters?
