    Unsurprisingly, the way Trump talks about it, you would never know that CEOs had left in protest over his comments. Just pretends that he decided to disband them, and even attacks the CEOs for "not taking it seriously" or some such nonsense.

    Gonna say it -- the emperor has no clothes.

    I will say that the The Joint Chiefs, in a unified move uniting in a statement denouncing racism and bigotry (in an unprecedented fashion...unprecedented, believe me [who do I sound like?;)]), does actually give me hope for this country when there is a vacuum in our leaders trying to unite this country. I have a soft spot for the military, but this actually makes me proud to be an American. :flagus:

    Apparently the rest of the group decided to disband it. They knew they couldn't be associated with him any more so they all decided to walk. Trump got word & decided to push them before they jumped. A bit desperate really.

    Tell yourself whatever you need to, this is about basic decency. GOP members of Congress, business leaders & even the Joint Chiefs of Staff are distancing themselves from his behavior. If you can't & won't that is on you. If hiding behind phrases like 'liberal hate' is what you need to do to hide from the reality of what is happening here then you will no doubt do it.

    Trump is a disgrace who is unfit for office. Some of us saw that from the start, an increasing number of people are coming to see it now. maybe one day you will see it too, though I doubt you will me man enough to admit it if you do.

    The bottom line is not a person. The CEO answers to the board which answers to the stockholders who are to simplify a bit the wealthy of America. And if the wealthy are abandoning the sinking ship the Republicans in Congress cannot be far behind.
