It's not the courts Trump is hurting, it's us.

I heard that just such evidence is upcoming in the, (now postponed) next and hopefully final session of the televised hearings. It may also come out in the Proud Boys trial.

Should such evidence of what any reasonable person already knows come to light will you THEN agree that Trump should at least be indicted for this serious crime?

That's a bit disingenuous, don't you think? One may choose to avail himself of a legal process, a challenge made through the courts, to achieve the purpose of illegally banning a grand jury from considering damning testimony.

You should do some research on Don's past. Roy Cohn was Trump's mentor with respect to the legal strategies he uses.

Well, I would say this... Not all "damning testimony" is testimony of something wrong or illegal.

An example might be an employer who is being sued for alleged racial discrimination, and that person does not want it to come to light that they made a certain comment that some might view as racist.

Show me another politician that has done what Trump has done yet maintained the level of support he has. Can you imagine any other politician surviving having a charitable foundation shut down, and being fined $2M, because he/she stole money from it for personal expenses? Or paying hush money to a porn star a few months before an election to conceal an adulterous affair. These are normaly career ending events. And there are many more.

No need to get in to hypotheticals since we know what testimony Trump is trying to suppress, and we know why.

What he did wasn't that bad.
It was stupid, and certain parts of it were based on the same false beliefs that most of those on the Left have, which is probably not surprising since he comes form a NYC background. It shows Trump had a poor understanding of how the Constitution is supposed to work, just like many here in this forum.

It's the type of thing that his enemies would like to portray as illegal, even though it should not be interpreted as being such.

Now, why don't you talk to us as if you are talking to people who don't keep up with what the media is saying?

You've lost me. Not that bad!!!!!!!!!! Putting aside the egregiously immoral, unethical, and illegal nature of his actions how can you possibly defend his ignorance of the Constitution when he was surrounded by attorneys advising him as to any given action's constitutionality?

That scumbag has committed so many crimes that if he were anyone else, he would already have been arrested, tried and sentenced for at least some of his crimes without requiring that evidence. Any reasonable person already knows he incited the insurrection. Like I said, there's nothing reasonable about Trump worshipers, never was, never will be.

For example, if he didn't have the $25M to settle the real estate school fraud case he would have been convicted. Fraud being his specialty.

Amerika has the best (in)justice system money can buy. But regardless of his money (or rather his worshipers' donations), I was referring to all the other crimes he committed for which money could not buy him a ticket out of jail assuming he was anyone else.

Far from correct. The vast majority of his followers stayed home. The actions of theses few butthurt thugs were inconsistent with those of his followers. Thats why they had the element of surprise.

There are many honest reasons to criticize him. There is nothing he said/wrote than a reasonable person could translate into a call for violence.

I understand not wanting him to run again and the need to cover up the steaming pile of results Dems are producing.

Career ending? I wish cheating people out of their money was not a standard when it comes to politicians. I wish cheating on ones wife disqualified politicians from holding office. (I wouldn't be stuck with Newsom!)

You don't have to convince me is is an awful person. I would never vote for him. All your party has to do is be less awful and thats not happening.

I don't think most people who voted for Trump's political opponents understand why people would vote for him. No one votes for Trump because they like his personality - as a man he is venal - they vote for him because his policies are far better for the country than those of the Democrats. Democrat policies are manipulative and disastrous for the country. I have not voted for Trump in either election, but if I was forced to choice he would have gotten my vote. There isn't a Democrat controlled urban area in America that isn't overrun with corruption and depravity.

Spoken like someone who is irrationally wedded to false equivalences. It's like saying Trump is no worse than other politicians on the topic of lying cuz all politicians lie. It's patently absurd.

We're not talking about the vast majority. Trump knew his followers were there and he knew they weren't reasonable, that's why he was counting on them to overturn the election by violence. That's how coups work.

For me, its about results. As awful as he may be, dems are worse. You cannot make a case that dems are better for society using facts and actual results. Much of trumps support comes from the steaming pile of results dems are known for. I live in the dems petri dish and the poverty, crime, and feces does make trump look good by comparison.

I did not vote for either of the elderly sex offenders, but if I was forced to pick one, I would pick trump. (And have to spit afterwards.)

That claim calls for the operation of his mind. While he is good at getting into the minds of others, you cannot speak for his thoughts. You can quote him on what you believe translated into a call for violence. Can you do that?

So.........you favor construction of the ineffectual wall, immigration policy based in bigotry, indefensible tariffs that cost American consumers more money, tax cuts for the wealthy that explode the budget deficit, and a head in the sand approach to climate change.
