    Personally I'm against immigrant detention.

    But isn't it their fault for not petitioning for asylum before they illegally snuck in?

    an immigration clause is unnecessary and improper. our welfare clause is General and we have a Commerce Clause. we should not be losing money on border policy.

    If their life is truly in imminent danger, they should be grateful to have a temporary place where they are safe.

    That might help deter the majority of those whose lives are not actually in immediate danger.

    They can always apply to enter without illegally entering, though their odds are not that good.

    Close? Close is okay AS LONG it's NOT on OUR soil. They can line up in tents two feet from the US border, ON THE OTHER SIDE. That's the problem. Once inside our border then the free **** begins.

    You should probably ask the mods to merge this thread with the one where Trump is releasing immigrants because there is no room.
