Now Is Exactly the Time to Investigate the Lying WHO’s Catastrophic Public Failures and Internal Rot.

Such twisted standards at the WHO should come as no surprise. Lying China began colonizing the WHO at least 13 years ago, when Lying China’s candidate, a former Hong Kong director of health, Margaret Chan, became WHO director-general, serving for 10 years before Tedros took charge. Chan was already controversial in Hong Kong for her slow and bungling early response to the 2003 SARS outbreak that spread from China to Hong Kong. Under her leadership, the WHO’s response in 2014 to the Ebola crisis in West Africa was a debacle — leaving the U.S. and a number of private medical charities to ride to the rescue. Commenting on this at the time, a Nov. 4, 2014, Wall Street Journal editorial noted that

“since the 1990s the WHO has devoted ever more of it resources to political activism instead of its core disease-fighting mission — a loss of function that helps explain why the WHO failed to contain Ebola when it was less rampant.” ​

If we judge by results, then as UN debacles go, the WHO’s 2020 failures, fictions, delays and Beijing boot-polishing in dealing China’s coronavirus outbreak rank right up there with the UN’s decision in 1994 to ignore desperate warnings from its own peacekeepers of the impending genocide in Rwanda. In that instance, more than 800,000 people were slaughtered. For the current pandemic, the cost in lives and livelihoods is already colossal, and we do not yet have a full tally. It would be gravely irresponsible of the U.S. to simply carry on bankrolling the WHO. An investigation into its public failures and internal rot is urgently needed — now — before the UN’s erstwhile health agency steers the world any deeper into catastrophe.

You may feel the knee-jerk impulse to pinch off a little incense to this propaganda pushing UN organization, but that test is truth, and US taxes go to further US interests, there is no World "right" to rape the US taxpayer, and certainly not by those that kill Americans in order to appease their Lying Chi-Com masters.

Reprogram the WHO funds:

Trump administration can legally reprogram, or divert, the funds into other related health programs.

Traditionally, Congress signs off on reprogramming efforts, but that signoff is not required by law and the administration has moved forward without it in the past.

Short of a bipartisan legislative effort to explicitly stop the administration's actions, there are limited options for lawmakers opposed to the move.

In a similar move last year, the Trump administration froze about millions in foreign aid to El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, otherwise known as the Northern Triangle so they could do more to mitigate the humanitarian crisis at the southern border.

China-friendly Democrats on the Hill are planning to put up a fight that they will lose.

Seven Republican senators wrote to the WHO director general on Tuesday asking specific questions and requesting specific documents so that they can begin to prepare for a hearing on the WHO's response to coronavirus.

"American taxpayers deserve answers about how their taxpayer dollars are spent, and whether Congress should continue to spend millions of dollars every year to fund the WHO," they wrote.​

"We need value on our investment," said a Republican aide. "If a partner is not performing in the way it is intended to perform, we need change. From an oversight perspective, this is about performance and delivery on results."​

The President has criticized the WHO, a United Nations agency, for having a China-centric stance and for not supporting his travel restrictions on China in January.

"Had the WHO done its job to get medical experts into China to objectively assess the situation on the ground and to call out China's lack of transparency, the outbreak could have been contained at its source with very little death." ​

It's now being reported from the pentagon that they have a memo that was sent from China to WHO stating that it APPEARED the virus was transferrable human to human in early Jan. The board vote was split whether to alert the world and the Chairman cast the deciding vote to NOT TELL THE WORLD. If this turns out to be true then pull all their funding until their board is completely removed and the Chairman is released. How the F can WHO watch China eliminate domestic travel to and from Wuhan and not speak out that International Travel was still being allowed to and from Wuhan. They are at the center of this pandemic and their decisions cost so many lives.

 

I have to figure out how that works. I call someone a commie and it's a dirty word or attack, can't call someone commie, but I can call them DEMOCRATS (which is a dirty word to me), and nothing happens.

 

That's odd. A friend of mine has a daughter-in-law that is a communist from Hanoi, and one of the hardest working, tirelessly diligent, fiercely independent people you will ever meet. He was told to quit calling her the "Cute Little Commie" because other family members thought she would take it as a insult, but, she likes the name and she is in no way ashamed of being a communist, she is very proud of it. She explains that everyone gladly pitches in to help the State, which then efficiently transmits resources, like nuclear families do here. They enjoy massive extended family relationships, highly interconnected and a high degree of social cohesion. It works for their culture. Similarly, corruption by government officials would likely be dealt with firmly and swiftly, which maintains a high level of trust.

Interestingly, the lazy video gamer millennial socialists in America, many also drug and/or alcohol addicted, disgust her. They would more likely be whipped or caned in her native country, not indulged and buried in hand outs.

The WHO gave an advise to apply social distancing guidelines in January. Not just to the US, but also to Germany and all the other countries who are acknowledged by the UN. Cutting their funding will effect the service to Germany.... obviously. Weird that you can't see this.

 

There are about 60 million Germans, and 300 million Americans.
Americans pay about 440/300 = 1,5 bucks a year.
Germans pay about 320 / 60 = 5,30 bucks a year.

Germans are already picking up the tab, by a lot.

But you show it clearly what the truth is! So often it is said that Germans should pay more or pay instead ... but in fact Germany is the largest payer behind the United States.
Let's take this tiresome long-term discussion about NATO as another example: The NATO budget ... the cost of the HQ in Brussels and other things ... is about 2.3 billion euros (= about 2.5 billion USD). The US carries most of it with 22%, followed by ... drum roll please ... Germany with 15%. The USA want to reduce to 16% and Germany is prepared to largely take this minus of 6%. Will Germany then be able to represent the 4 Strerne General as NATO military commander-in-chief, which has always been a US general because of the 22%? Um ... no, bad Germans can only pay, eh?

And so it is here with the WHO again ... because Germany is ready to pay more for the WHO ...

It could be even far worse than you might think. I never heard of Wuhan before in my entire life before this. And sure it's a fast country with so many places we all never heard about. But still. The US granted millions to do research in Wuhan, so it seems. The US also closed the border to China... and than they still picked up people from Wuhan, with at least 2 airplanes. And like, really? Two planes from a place with an iffy lab getting millions? How many of them worked in that lab in Wuhan? It's not as if the US pays millions and is not getting a thing back. What the hell did Donald do in Wuhan with so many Americans? Americans need to ask this first before passing the buck to that lab.
