Limbaugh is an entertainer. Same as Hannity, Maddow, Mathews, O'Riely, Olberman ... They just use politics as their medium.

Trump is weak, corrupt and incompetent. What’s more, every world leader knows it.

Trump flagrantly break both the letter and the spirit of the rule of law out in the open on a daily basis.

He gives away his negotiating leverage in stupid casual tantrums designed to entertain his xenophobic and fearful base.

There will be no trade deal with China, and the Chinese market for soybeans will go to Brazil, expanding China’s influence as a trading partner there.

China has no incentive to make a deal with us at all. Trump gave away his prize piece of leverage on the first day of his administration.

He would go on to do the same thing with Iran.

He traded away the prestige of his office in return for a made for TV spectacle co starring Kim Jong Un. Kim walked away with everything he came with and the fair certainty that he would not have to worry about the Americans for a while, even if the sanctions fell apart.

Now that Trump has isolated the US from the world by repudiating the Iran deal, the Iranians are doing the inevitable. Challenging the US and the world by trying to get the western alliance to break with the United States.

They have every incentive to do so, as keeping a lid on the revival of the Iranian nuclear program is in everyone’s interests.

I have no idea why Bolton and Trump are this stupid. Bolton took the same line towards North Korea under Bush, and watched the North Koreans build a bomb.

He seems to be on the same trajectory with Iran.

Trump, who can’t find either country on a map goes along because chest beating is their idea of greatness.

What would bring a Hitler or Stalin to power here is a weak and fear filled electorate which casually gives away its democracy to a con man peddling an Uber nationalist, and racist political trope. His path to power would be greased by a media more obsessed with ratings than with news, a political power structure more worried about their short term political interests than the institutions they serve, and their willingness to sit by and watch as the strong man whose skirts they hide behind usurp their power.

Trump has done all of these things. And cults of personality and dictators are almost always brought to power on the backs of a screaming mob fueled by its own resentments and fears.

Trump is setting all the precidents for the end of democracy in America.

He may not be the instrument of that end, but his is most certainly the biggest enabler to date.
